Whenever i try to play either online or singleplayer, the game will crash to desktop. In the case of singleplayer, the map will load completely, then it will crash to desktop with no error message. In multiplayer, both playing online and creating a local game result in it immediately crashing to desktop when i click "join game" or "start game" without going to the loading screen, again, there is no visible error message. This happens with all of my mods, and vanilla bf2. I have tried changing the resolution on the game from 1024x768@60Hz to 800x600@60Hz and it had the same result as before. please help.

System specs? and what system you on? Vista can cause alot of trouble, as a quick fix you could try lowering terrain and textures to medium

I run Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.20 GHz, 1.46GHz of RAM
with a Radeon X1300/1550 Series video card

I got same problem and during installion the Core i get error message while installing Objects... I have downloaded from four diffrent mirrors but it makes same thing but i can go to game and i go to singleplayer, then it loads to 3% and throw me to windows and nothing messages camed. What an ******* this whole installer!

I had CTDs in the exact same situations, and whenever I went to Audio options. The solution was to disable all other audio devices. On XP you'd probably use device manager for that, on Vista I right-clicked them in the sound control panel and chose disable.

I used to have the same thing, only it would tell me 'bf2.exe has encountered an error and needs to close'. All I did was reinstall and it works fine now.

My PR would crash as soon as i try to join a server. The weird thing is - BF2 and PRSP works just fine, while PR refuses to do so. Any help would be appreciated.

If your textures is on high that might be your problem, so lower it.
