I recently upgraded my Windows Vista to Win 7, was excited to get BF2 up and running so I could skip to the main event, PR. So, once I got BF2 installed I went to patch it to 1.5 so I could get PR installed, but the patch says I already have the latest version of BF2 installed, which I obviously do not.

What do I do from here? I can't get PR up without the 1.5 patch, so I'm at a loss. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Oh, wait. If this is cause I don't have the previous patch installed imma kill something.

I had the exact same message "already have the latest version of BF2 installed" and assumed that the 1.5 patch would work as stand alone but I was wrong.

For some reason, I had to install the 1.41 patch first, it worked for me. So, yeah, you may wanna go kill something as you might need to download 1.41.

It's not "some reason", it's the offical prerequisite of 1.5 patch:
Excerpt from the Battlefield Blog:
"You will need Battlefield 2 updated to v1.41 before you can install this update"

meh. Without reading the 'blog', it wasn't obvious. Seeing as you have to download a 2gig file, you kinda assume it's a full patch.
