Simple question about auto deploy: if I ALT-TAB out of the game, will it continue running in background?

Serious answer, no idea, I've wondered about this too.

No it won't. I tried this myself and yes it is very annoying.

I recommend that shiny xfire in-game web browser for such situations ^^

no it wont...one of things anooy me very much too... you can never come back to game if you minimize it by alt+tab. or at least you cant do it on windows7 right now.

did you install the hotfix?

also, alt-tabbing while loading... i dont think it would becuase last time i minimized while loading, whne i came back in, i was booted by punkbuster ( i used ctr-alt-del)

I have windows 7 and withouth the 1.5 hotfix for alt-tab it won't work .... But since i got the hotfix I can alt-tab anytime , when loading, when deplyoed, etc . I didn't try with the auto-deploy , I'm gonna try it , and I'm be back with a message.

The verdict: Seems it works for me .I can alt-tab withouth affecting the auto-deply function.

well.. I dont have it but will have as soon as i get back thnx.

I find it doesn't actually deploy while you alt-tab. On many occasions I get deployed as soon as I come back to PR...

BF2 pauses when minimized. It's as simple as that.

Think hes not asking about the alt-tab crash problem but that if the BF2 keep loading the map when minimized. Answer is no, the BF2 won't load while minimized, not fully anyways. But its not recommended to alt-tab at loading part anyways as with good luck it corrupts the textures and you have to restart the game.

Run in windowed mode if you wish to alt-tab while the game keeps playing.

Add +fullscreen 0 to the end of your shortcut.
