Hi!!!
I want see AKMS on crewmans,becouse iran army have this weapon!!!MECs looks like on IRAN army!!

About chechens - in first chechen war they have better weapon,thats russian MVD and Army(Most of has been stolen,or removed on destroy tanx,bmp,btr etc)

The MEC uses European/German, preferably HK, small arms, preferably with 7.62x51 NATO caliber. I understand this is because of uniformity, which most conventional militaries enforce to reduce costs and avoid logistical errors associated with having a large assortment of different calibers of ammunitions. The AK-47 uses the Soviet 7.62x39, so it would add a third major caliber to MEC small arms arsenal, in addition to the pistol and battle rifle calibers. It's probably preferable to have only two calibers, the 9mm (for pistols and submachinguns) and the 7.62x51 (for the battle rifle), which is a more manageable arrangement for a quartermaster. I don't think its easy to mistake 9 mm for a 7.62 round, but someone might mistake 7.62x39 for 7.62x51 and vice versa.

That said, I think the MP5 should stay.

since the G3 is a h&k weapon it might make sense to stick with the mp5

Why for one weapon???Small quantity of AK use small rounds!!!
AK use very "cheap"round - 7.62x39 М43 !!!
But hes buy expensive rounds for tanks - 7.62x54R(Coaxal mg),and 12.7x108 for commander MG,14.5x114 - for KPVT on BTR-60!!
Buy 5% of M45 - nothing сompared all prise!!!

for example the MEC have the virtue of being a blank canvas, the DEVs can build their gameplay from the bottom up, and be creative in the process.

The mec is more about being plausibly realistic rather than 'This is a pure replication of a middle eastern military'

Definatelly chechens should get an AKMS or even a PPSH, the Scorpion is darn useless unless u are attacked by a platoon armed with rocks.

The Chechens have a PPSh, for the scout class at the top of the spawn screen.

Also chuc released a little .gif of new muzzle flashes...from an AK series rifle that had a folding buttstock, its my assumption it was the AKMS.

I know the chechens allready have a PPSH, that's why i recomended it to be given to medics too.
