Since the SA-7's warhead is fragmentation, designed to explode into shards to disable fragile flying gear to disable the helicopter....and the BH's interior is open.... why doesn't it kill the passengers inside instead of just damaging the heli?


Also, it says the weapon has a 14-17 second self destruct time.... meaning once fired if no target was hit it will just blow up after that time..... so why when fired does it go straight up and explode after a few seconds if the lock was broken?


I suggest for the SA-7 to kill the passengers instead of just damaging the heli for added realism, along with making broken locks on aircraft more realistic.....Notice the differences in the firing sounds for a real sa-7 and the PR sa-7.... it sounds similar to the javelin with two motors... something I think would add more realism also.

I've seen passengers killed by AA missiles all the time in PR. It normally depends on which part of the heli the missle hits. If it hits through an opening, there is bound to be people killed. Heck, even the pilot can be easily killed by an AA missile and even leaving the helicopter somewhat intact.

I think its due to the engine. Like you can shoot in the wall with aa rocket and who ever is behind the wall gonna get killed (aprox 30-50m radius)

if the missile hits where the passengers are - the passengers die (or at least most of them) if the SA-7 hits anywhere armoured the passengers won't die.
