About a week ago, TS3 got released.
With the 3D audio feature like mumble*, does it have any potential for PR?
Scrape that...its not the same

It has 3d audio too?? has anyone tested it and what kinda games does it suppport?

iirc it needs someone to make a bf2 pluggin before it has positional audio like mumble

currently it only has positional audio by positioning people inside ur channel in particular locations around you, rather than ingame locations.

I really like TS3, but without positional audio I'll never use it for anything beyond SL radio coms.

also mumble is open source so has more opportunities for devs to make it how they want it. so mumble > TS3 for PR

I haven't even found the option menu of 3D audio yet

3D audio in Teamspeak is not positional info derived from game ... its just something so that you can set different people to be talking from different directions. It helps remove the clutter when people are all talking at once.

Its not the same thing as mumble at all.

A plugin has to be coded and well all know db is too busy planting secrets in his posts.

I will stick to good old mumble for ingame.

Mumble > TS3 why?
becuase you dont have to pay each month for the service....
PR gets it free becuase it is donated from some Group..I cant think of what it is

Does Mumble 3D work now with an Creative X-Fi card? Last time I checked the 3D sound didn't work at all if I had CMSS-3D enabled.

Yes.. it does work with CMSS-3D enabled.

Its always worked with my Creative Xfi as well.
