Community event idea: The Commander battles!

The Commander Events (name of the event varies depending on map involved):
-When the event is announced, two commanders from the community are selected/volunteer to lead teams in two rounds of a given game type; choices being AAS, Insurgent, or C&C. The first map will be pre-determined. The winner of a coin toss gets first pick on whether to choose their faction for the first map, or which map will be played second (eg. With Karbala 64 announced as the first map, Commander A wins the coin toss and chooses to play Blufor on the first map, thus playing insurgent on the second; Commander B then gets to decide which map they get to play Blufor on, and chooses Al Basrah 64.)
-After the maps are known, members of the community choosing to participate in the event may then organize and submit squad make-ups for the commanders to choose from to complete the other 31 members of their team. A squad can have a maximum of five members, at most two alternate members, and any number of substitutes; the squad must also have preferred role designations for BLUFOR and OPFOR (“Multi-role” is an option). A single player can be a member or alternate for one squad and substitute for two squads.
An example of a squad submission:
=[GC]= 4-man APC/Ambush-
Role: BLUFOR APC’s/ OPFOR Ambush.
Members:
=[GC]= Alpha (Squad Leader)
=[GC]= Bravo
=[GC]= Charlie
=[GC]= Delta
Alternate: *[GC]* Echo
-Final squads are due three days before the event. Once decided, the commanders (who by now have hopefully built their map strategies and know what sorts of squads are needed for them) alternate picks among the registered squads (Commander A chooses a squad, then commander B, then commander A, etc). When all squads are picked, the commanders choose to include or exclude any number of alternate slots with each squads depending on strategy and remaining player slots; if included, the alternate(s) are added to the final squad; if excluded, the alternate(s) go into the “Freelancer pool” and only comes into play if one of the main members of the squad can’t make it, or if another squad is short on members on game day. Any squad slots left open on game day can be filled by freelancer pool members.
-The game server is passworded, Mumble is mandatory among all players, and the standard 4-hour time limit and default ticket spawns are used. The expectation is that the commanders have communicated with squad leaders their stratagems and large-scale rules of engagement before the actual game.
Thoughts? Any R-Coms or clans want to put this event on?
