Why did PR remove Bunker ?

Hey guys,
I would like to know why the DEV-Team removed the bunker model back in 0.7 and let firebase as the only option for an outpost...
Obviously it provides alot more cover for defending troops than an open piece of sand with a radio ;)

For all who don't know how it looked like :

Thanks for infos !

iirc, it was too easy to block things off with. The ladder was removed on it, and it would mean that the bunker could be 8 meters high with no option of anyone getting in.

Can I ask why the razor wire was removed too? That was great for properly blocking off firebases to infantry.

cuz vehicles could drive through it without affecting the wire or vice versa

Yeah, but it was still good for infantry blocking on maps like Muttrah. Both types of razor wire ingame would be great.

I concur... and it was quickly set up with no shoveling needed...

I would like to really echo this sentiment. As a squad leader who uses firebases regularly, I would really appreciate the ability to use both the anti-inf wire and tank-trap wire, they have very different uses and I truly miss the anti-inf wire :(

Edit: And to keep my post on topic, incendiaries can be used rather than knifing bunkers :)

Couldn't they make a newer version of it?

That would be very low priority.
