Moving of the archer 'firebase'/'checkpoint'

Im talking the firebase west of the village, currently ive seen very little use of this base mainly because of a large hill next to it. this hill makes defending it impossible/hard. i suggest moving the firebase to the SW abit (the circle on the picture) and redo the roads. This would give the base a strategic position, and maybe some use.

Why do this?

Well i think it would be more realistic position, also hopefully the base would be used more so good for gameplay. Also with maybe (hopefully) .9 will feature one of the beta gameplays, firebases are more important so this could provide a good, real firebase to operate from.

I agree rudd, the USMC do fail...

anyway, i do think that this would be beneficial, it would maybe result in actual use, because having a FOB like that out there can be very useful when used properly. Unfortunatly that hill does make it nearly useless.

Also the layout is pretty poor, there is no real room for a FB. id like to see INS maps in future with 1 or 2 of these in strategic positions (not like this, or ramiel but more like basrah and sangin). would be realistic and good for gameplay. and of course, the BLUFOR dont need to occupy them.

I'd just flatten the hill next to it where the danger is and put the fob on it.

Its a common problem on alot of PR maps, the defensive positions look very nice, but when you actually try to use them properly you realise the engineers that built them must have had a hefty dose of the local poppies before constructing them, as they have little practical use.
