My point exactly (it's well hidden behind the curtain of irony in the description of the vid, but it's there). This kind of glitching should be made impossible by adding Surrounding Terrain heightmaps around the map, like in Al Basrhar and Korengal.

The US main is tiny anyway. You can barely move around in it without bumping into somebody.
It should be moved to the north-WEST side of the map in my opinion, which is completely empty and doesn't have the issue of the river being there.

The DOD is gigantic I have been killed by it many times just driving down the main road. The US base has walls around it so making the DOD a little bit smaller should not make base rape easier.

You can destroy it. But it takes a bit of teamwork. Get a technical and sit in the back with your IED and then drive FAST from west side of bridge to east, dropping the IED as you go over. There's just enough time to drive a vehicle through before the timer hits 0, so don't stop or slow down. I've never blown it up, but i've driven over it before so it should be possible.
And yeah, the map needs fixing there. The river should continue into the surrounding terrain.

I believe the timer is different if you are in a vehicle or on foot. Shorter when on foot. Could be wrong about that though.
Hardcore insurgency plays Karbala.

That's correct. Out-of-bounds timer is much longer when you're in a vehicle than on foot. Probably because with jets it not so easy to stay within map boundaries.

The bridge can easily be destroyed with one civvie car and one sapper, or a chain of 1 sapper and 1-2 other misc soldiers. (Or one car and 1 sapper/driver)
Select your IED, enter the car. Approach the bridge from the skinny strip of land to the east. Drive at full speed onto the middle of one of the bridge sections. To determine the section start/end points, look carefully along the bridge (This can be done while US, without fear of dying from the DOD) for lines of different color, contrast, brightness, there is a sharp line that you can see on the bridge. Coast the car as close to the center of one of these sections as you can. (Remember to switch seats a second or two before you get to your destination as you will coast.) Switch to the F2 position of the car, then deploy the IED pointed at your feet the instant it becomes available. (Don't rapidly click, this can cause the detonator to malfunction. One click as soon as it's ready is enough). The IED will fall through the car, directly onto the bridge. As soon as you hear the beep, click the phone, detonate the IED, and receive blown up bridge.
With two friends, one sapper runs onto the center of the bridge, he will have just enough time to get his IED down before he starts bleeding out. The second he's got it down, he will need to run towards the waiting party who were left on the strip of land. As soon as he dies, the second person needs to run and spam the "pick-up kit" button, as soon as they swipe it, they should run back towards the last waiting person. Depending on the skill of the runner, they may die. If they do, they should be well within range of the last runner.
The only person who should attempt to detonate the placed IED with the runner method should be the person holding the kit who's outside the dome of death. (The second or third runner, depending).
The last method is a simple driveby drop. Drive full speed from the eastern strip onto the bridge, drop the IED as close to the center of a bridge section as you can, wait a few seconds for it to be armed, then blow it. The driver should stay at full speed, as soon as he can, he needs to cut left, back towards the city on the other side of the bridge. (This method has the least room for error I've found. It also leaves you bleeding 99% of the runs)
