What is your criteria for joining a server? When I usually boot up PR, i set my filters to 40 players and a ping of max 100. Then I start looking which servers are filled. But what's your most important factor?

Poll answer: I think my most important factor, as stated before, is ping followed by the amount of players. Hence why I never join TacticalGamer simply because my ping is just to high on a US server.

All PLA maps usually scare me away. Other then those, I'm not really picky

Dunno yet, I usually join for the current map.

Well, i'm not really involved with alot of other players. I know some names and I know who are fun to play with, but I usually only look at the players list when I'm not sure which server to pick

- Server reputation
I like to play on UKWF. Not sure why I do, the admins can go berserk about the asset-squad-name-rule sometimes. I usually avoid german-servers because of the high amount of non-english-speaking squads. But TacticalGamer (again) has a good reputation on these forums, but I hardly play there. So I guess this isn't really important to me. On the other hand, I try to stay away from new servers too

- AAS/Insurgency/Mixed
I think it's kinda a shame that these gamemodes are now on different servers. I liked the mixed gameplay because of diversity but they are hardly around anymore.

A full 24/7 insurgency server with good reputation. There aint many of those.

Yea im always up for a round on the TG server but a 24/7 insurgency is great too.

You should ask a R-MOD to see if they could put a poll asking what is the most important factor.

It ussually really depends on my mood and how much time I have, but this is what I tpyically look for:

- Amount of players playing

20+. I don't mind seeding a servey.

- Ping

Ussually not a worry thanks to my good bandwidth and decent computer. I aim less than 200.

- Current map

Depends on mood. Fallujah West, Muttrah City, Asad Khal, and PLA maps are typically a good choice. Korengal valley, Kashan, or Archer are maps I avoid.

- Next map (0.9 feature)

May make a difference if I plan to play for extended periods.

- Players you know on the server

Will go to any server with buds from RL.

- Server reputation

I most always only join servers I trust and enoy. That being UKWF, TG, T&W. Chicago is decent if it is a good map. Bottom line, though, I never join servers that are not English speaking.

- AAS/Insurgency/Mixed

Depends on mood, again, but I typically choose AAS. They are typically well balanced and the objective is simple enough that everyone on the team understands what to do.

The biggest factor in server selection is server reputation.

Ping and the number of players are the most important. If numerous of servers coming out then I check the map and the reputation of the server.

Players are everything. As long as I dont have to lead a guy by an extra football pitch, i can live with the ping. im pretty much a one-server girl right now. Even then the conditions have to be 'perfect'. Im quite spoilt with a game of PR these days!

Usually only a few with 40+ players. Chicago,Texas, TG are my usuals. Not much else to choose from.

I just go with the flow. I play on both US and EU servers, whatever really.

I have a bunch of 4-5 servers I usually play on and I find nice, so when to choose between them it's mostly 50+ players and then which one has the most people on mumble (should be a poll option too?).
Also, if I somehow notice that the current map just started or so it's usually a plus.

Due to the slower nature of the vast majority of PR engagements anything under 300ms is pretty playable as long as you have a solid connection. Many of the most deadly players on TG regularly sport a 150+ ping from Europe.

My only requirements are a solid connection, good admins and enough players to make a map worthwhile (depends on the map, Fallujah is still fun with 10+ total players if the teams agree to simply give rough cache locations to BluFor so you know what area to fight in, 20+ and you have a regular game).

30+/40+ depends what gamemode it is, AAS maps with much hardware require more people. Insurgency or small AAS maps requires less people.

Avoids maps where the teams success depends on helipilots. Muttrah f. ex. Plays barracuda, but as chinese if its possible. When it comes to AAS, I prefer big maps.

I hope servers will use this feature, it will have an impact on wich server I will use.

- Players you know on the server
At some degree, its more the players I dont like, wich have played with earlier and have bad experience with.

- Server reputation
Yes, it matters.

Insurgency only or mixed are preferred. Due to the reason that when it comes to AAS maps, I like big maps like Kashan. Smaller maps arent quite that interesting. If I just played Kashan, it could be fun to play a round on Archer or Ramiel. Cant wait for 0.9 with more 4x4 maps.

Server rules: Servers with asset rules are prefered. And servers wich dont allow main base attack unless AAS says so. It may not be "realistic" but it makes the game playable.
English speaking players: Its hard to work with others if we dont understand each other.

Unless I personally know the people playing or know its going to fill up soon, 40+ is generally what I look for.

Since I live in NZ, I tend to get lag (300+ ping on euro servers) anyway, so I just join whatevers not full.

Normally I'm playing with people I know anyway, so it isnt a big factor.

- Server reputation
If I'm not playing with other people I always go for either TG, UKWF or BigD. They are the servers I've been playing on for a long time and know I'll probably get a good round on.

- AAS/Insurgency/Mixed
I tend to join mixed/AAS servers, I'm not a big fan of insurgency in its current form.

- other
Generally I have set servers to play on in the morning and night (UKWF or sometimes TG in the morning, BigD at night) so I don't really have much experience from other servers, either because I had a bad experience from them, or because I get kicked for high ping.

TG or Tactics & Teamwork. The only 2 servers I KNOW not containing very bad attitude and smartasses all the time.

Current map: Only thing that bothers me is if I have played the same map within the last 24/48 hours or if it is one of Karbala, Seven Gates, Kyongan 'Ni, Battle for Qinling or Sunset City. Anything else is fine by me.

Next map: See above

Players you know on the server: I know a fair few people who play on TG and UKWF regularly, and these are my favourite servers so will usually join them. Mostly im playing with clan mates anyway though.

Server reputation: Not too bothered if i've got mates with me, but if not then i'll only go on TG. There are a number of servers that I never go on due to poor experiences, but i'll not list those.

AAS/Ins: Not bothered.

Number of players: 10+

Ping: Anything below 250

Current map: Any Russian/Chechen map is an instant disconnect. I find them to be boring, frustrating, flags poorly laid out, and by and large, I find them to be terribly ugly on any graphics setting.

Next map: See above, but I will be very hesitant to join a server running random AAS, as it has a whole host of problems, ranging from simply unfair flag/asset layouts for one side to a complete lack of premade strategies I can run with from round start. Qwai in particular is entirely dependent on who's on the server to determine if it will be a fun round or an abysmally unplayable garbage match.

Players you know on the server: Unimportant, I change names frequently anyway, so even if I know you, you may not know me.

Server reputation: TG is by far my favorite, but as long as the admins don't have their heads up their asses, I'm open to anything.

AAS/Ins: See my point about RandomAAS, but standard AAS and insurgency are fine by me on bluefor or opfor.

20-64 (as long as I can get in, its a-ok+ buddies)

Less that 200 as armor, as infantry I don't prefer it.

Avoid muttrah, falujah(not as bad), and pure infantry maps as possible

100% matters, but its more of my experience at X or Y server that matters. Some servers I play regularly on, while others I won't play at at all.

same, except kashan scares me times more than any other map... tanks permanently crawling by the edge of the map are such boredom.

If it's a server that I regularly go to then, minimal 6-10. If not, 55+.

Don't care. Unless it's crazy high like above 500

Don't care. Unless I feel like messing around, then insurgency.

Tactical Gamer, Texas Teamplayers, Reality Teamwork, UK Warfare, Tactics and Teamwork are servers that I normally enjoy

Depends on my mood. Sometimes I don't care. Sometimes I just want a short game
