Upgrading my PC HELP, IM A HOPELESS NOOOOB

Ive decided to upgrade my PC, and I already bought a kick butt graphics card
I have some good spare RAM cards,
my issue is my CPU speed, how can I fix that?

post your system specs would probably help. if you dont know them download :
CPUID
will tell you most things needed for people to help. also this will be moved to "General Technical Support"

For you I would recommend the same family of processor. The athlon x2 6000+ or higher is a great upgrade! Also, get more ram. Look at your motherboard specs, what speed can it handle? Find that speed of ram and slap it in. (since your mobo is kinda old, 4gb is probibly the max, but you didn't give the model number of the board so I can't help that much.)

It has a 4gig limit
