helicopters shake violently when they are hit

I noticed a lot of pilots do not notice that they are being hit and i think a good remedy for that that is also realistic is have helicopters shake when they are hit by heavy rounds

Also they can violently shake when the helicopter is shut down so that you know you lost control and you are crashing

They start shaking after reaching a point of damage, it doesnt come up right after getting shot by some small arms.

If an AA missile hits nearby a heli it does make it shake violently for a second with the blast.

Also most heavy rounds destroy the heli, or you can hear the "Plink Plink" of .50 cal bullets tearing up your nicely polished armour D:<

yeah, but as a BTR gunner in PR and huey pilot, i know that the HUEY pilot has no idea when I'm shooting at him, except when he sees me. The 14.5 mm rounds should make a loud noise or a strong vibration. But now, NOTHING, except the small feeling that when u throttle up the heli keeps going down.

yeah thats what i mean more shaking and maybe spinning and its hard to control the bird when the bird is down.

In real life its dangerous to shoot RPGs up because the back blast can actually kill you or hurt you

It can be slightly dangerous, but only if you do it straight up, at an angle is fine.

Source: My own knowledge & Common Sense ;)

P.s:

Pilots in real life only know they are being shot at by the Tracers they see...

They can't HEAR the bullets because of the engine noise. The Bullets also do NOT rock the helicopter.

i have no source but from what ive seen and know you can fire up.. just not straight straight up and low to the ground, most will though fire from rooftops with the rpg back off the building

As far as I am concerned, that's true. But I dont think it will kill you, only injure you. It also has something to do about "soft-launch". Weapons like the FIM-92 Stinger, and the 9К32 (SA-7) have "soft-launch", allowing you to fire it all the way up to 90 degrees without it having any effect on you.

well you can shoot them up but they have to be fixed up specially to do that you can die from the back blast it happened before in Somalia. They had to change it and add a blast protector to it to be able to shoot at choppers.
I only want it to shake from high calibre weapons not small arms fire

If you look at Combined Arms, when the Helicopters reach a certain health level, they start spinning out of control. I'd love to see that integrated, except to spin at a slower speed, and to happen at a high health rate than it is in CA.

Doubt it - the back blast from the rocket is funnelled out, it will definitely make you jump and will hurt like f*** so it's not advisable :P

as far as i know, the spin out animations only happen when in LAN servers, but no one has found a way to make it happen on line in a multiplayer game

I never recalled helicopters spinning out of control in CA. You must have been playing on local.

AFAIK, helicopters in ANY bf2 mod can only spin out of control on local servers. It's wierd and unexplainable.

Same as motorycicles, on local they work perfectly, on MP they lag..
