But how big is this file going to be and will it be available in a patch. Thanks!

Well take the current size we have, add several new maps, a few factions, weapons, sounds, animations and you're possibly looking at another gig for both content and levels?

.9 should be a insanely large file, larger than it already is now at about 3-4 GB.

Try using the torrent clients, they're way faster than the regular download sites.

Not larger than 4 GB (otherwise the Devs wouldnt be removing those great classic maps out of the picture)

Remember "those great classic maps" will return in the shape of a map pack. So no worries.

Go to college, you'll get a better internet connection there.
I would imagine the 0.9 release will be bigger than the current, as there are 2 new factions, and new maps replacing the ones that will be removed. Right now maps are about 1.5 gigs, while the core is a little less than 2 gigs. I think the core will increase in size, although I have no idea how much bigger it will get, while the maps will remain about the same, and the additional map pack will be like 500 megs or so.
