FOB pre-build shadows/outlines

I think it would be pretty cool to see a shadow or an outline of deployable assets when building. This way you could place them more precisely and if terrain or other objects dont allow it there, you just simply wouldn't see the shadow/outline.
I'm sure this is something that is hardcoded and not possible to accomplish with the BF2 engine, maybe for PR2 ?

players would easily be able to glitch buildings into unintended positions. this has been done in the sandbox mod. but it's not going to happen in PR. use the 5 meter rule.
this has been ellaborated on before in other thread so will lock.
nothing we can do to simplify this without opening up for easy glitches into buildings or glitching the assets into unintended heights etc.

What about this: You place the asset down. But as long as nobody has touched it with their shovel you can keep placing new ones and the old ones disappears. When you are happy with the placement, you order shovelling.

Plus it could be used as a shield when walking around, in sandbox I used to walk around with this metal plate blocking missiles and whatnot...good fun lol.
