...checking the Official PR release date thread at regular intervals to see if "when it's done" has the actual release date appended to it?

I can wait for it; I'm a college student, I have no choice. But that doesn't stop me from being unhealthily excited for the release.

Don't think that thread ever got updated, except for the version number.
And usually a release dates gets a frontpage newsitem anyway...(which will go to my RSS feed/Twitter)

Anyway, we first get 4 or 5 decoded changelogs to translate, so take your time and join a 0.85 server in the meantime

From my prior experience, the date is never shown on that thread even when the date has already been released to the public.

0.9 will be released on **-**-**.

stop wasting your lives waiting for a new release and just be suprised one day when you log on and the news reads "Project Reality buld .9 released!"

From my prior experience, the date of release has been shown there first, before the game is even released. I can't remember which version it was specifically, but that thread was updated to say "it will be released thursday morning, around 8:00am pacific" or something like that.

And I've never seen the release date be posted in that thread, there is always a front page announcement. So waste your life refreshing the home page instead of that sticky.

Thats a good point. But on a more serious note, there will more then likely be an announcement on the front page. So instead of sititng around waiting for the new release, go play the current version of PR. If PR's entire fanbase stops playing just to check the fourms to see if the new version has been released, then they won't release a new version at all!

I just built a new PC, so I'm not going to install .87 if .9 is going to come out this week.

When 0.9 comes out, it'll be more exciting than my birthday HAHAHA

Hm, when I was college student I had other choices, like go to party, drink, get chick, do some insane stuff. Try it too
