So folks, I happen to have my hands on a directional microphone, and decided to put it to some use. remembering previous threads critical of the sound effects in PR, I decided on to record some sound effects for potential use by the PR Devs.
If you folks like them, you can have them. I don't claim to be a tech wiz, so I'd appreciate some feedback as to required format / length for the BF2 engine
These are more examples than anything else, but I can take suggestions. Remember that I live on the west coast of Canada as opposed to Gaza strip, so no desert noises!
I await your response
Edit: Walking/Crawling/crouching on Pavement/heavy folliage/dirt has also been recorded, but yet to be uploaded

Sounds really cool, I like the one with rain very much and the others are better then the current sounds in my opinion.

Sounding pretty good, mate. What gear are you using to do your field recording? (pre-amp, mic etc)

Really nice ! I hope the devs get interested in that and you make more sounds.
The "walking" and ambient sounds from the vBF2 are over used IMO, new sounds like you recorded would be very welcomed !

Great stuff, the recording was great, however, the audio quality itself has a little bit to be desired, but that can be fixed simply through recording a lot of takes, having a sound-proof studio, which you might already have, but, wow, I'm rambling, and have kind of painted myself into corner here, but anyways, I really like the recording, the bird one was really great, no background noise or anything, and maybe if you used a different codec you could probably make it sound even better.
Longest run-on sentence ever, btw.

Sounds really nice, it would deffinetly be good with some more/new ambient sounds. I would suggest you try to find find another bird, one a bit more distinct. The one you have recorded reminds me of distant gunfire
