Hi im a new player to PR and I have read the manual and all, but when i get to a game sometimes things get intense and people are giving orders over VOIP and I'm kind of lost. So what im asking is can I possibly get in a game with someone and we can play together and you can tell me the do's and dont's of the game. It will be well appreciated.

What he said.

Do you have a mic? When joining a server look for a "VOIP" squad or TW or something similar, then explain briefly to the SL that you are newish to the game. Most will be happy to help.

Glad that you're finding it intense though, it is supposed to be ;)

Welcome to the forums.

Tactical Gamer, UKWF, Tactics & Teamwork, Reality Teamwork and Virginia USA are the main ones that I play on. The teamwork on any of those is generally of a decent order and you can usually get a good squad going.

If you see me running a squad feel free to join anytime.

Tell your SL you are new. Normally he will help you. A lot. Stuff that you can't learn on the manual.

Well, don't keep us in suspense... how was your first day of playing? Also, if you don't have a mic PM me. My wife made me clean out under my computer desk tonight and I found the one I bought right before I switched to the G35 headset so I no longer need it.

there are a number of servers that run basic training nights, the bigD one was on when i first started, it was probably the best fundamentals program i have ever encounted.

I have a mic, but thank you. and It was really fun. Some servers I went in there wasn't really any communication. But I learned how to hit a lased target today. =D

TaticalGamer and UKWF servers are great for teamwork, but that is my biased opinion...

Wow, I had to look up the G35 and that's an expensive headset. Sure, audiophiles will say that to truly enjoy sound in a game, they would recommend some insane $300 surround sound headset, but your G35 makes me slightly jealous. I use a $50 Plantronics Gamecon, which isn't bad at all. It's nicely padded with suede pads so I can game for hours on end. That G35 looks fancy though.

I've noticed lately that a lot of squads I'm joining aren't really communicating a lot. Also, I'm noticing a lot of new players who are getting in and they don't have a headset. It's good to know that you have a mic, I mean, I don't really care all that much if a player does or doesn't have one. Hopefully after playing for a few hours and hearing all the other guys communicating with each other, that's enough to convince someone to go out and get a headset or mic. But the game play is 100 times better and the immersion just becomes complete when you can talk to your squad mates.

That Plantroncis one is good too. My wife's brother uses one and I like the pads on them. When he's playing next to me he can hear me talking without having to use voip. Mine blocks out absolutely everything but the game sounds and that's kind of annoying.

The ambient sounds that are in the game are easily heard with a decent headset. I never heard them before even with 5.1 speakers.

Lil - might consider one... it really does make them game more fun. :-o
