PR ruined gaming for me

ever since I started playing PR I get pissed off at every other arcade or "sim" shooter because it would take 100 bullets to kill someone or because of radar I know where everyone is.
^ dunno if this is a good thing, but every dev should take notes from PR,
Best game of the year is actually a mod!

I'm in the same boat -- PR's mix of reality, teamwork, graphics and immersion has ruined me on most video games.

Its like that one epsode of South Park when Cartman couldint laugh anymore cuz he saw something really funny. might i suggest Red Orchestra. its not as demanding on teamwork as PR is but it has alot of cool stuff. tanks opperate the same way as they do in PR, guns are hard to aim (not like COD at all)

Playing PR has made gaming different for me, I've been doing many things like accuracy, range, sprint, etc comparisons with Vanilla and PR..
Oh well, Teamwork + Realism ftw

For me, I would say the immersion factor is the biggest thing. The detail in the maps and weapons really draws me in.
I may be one in the minority that remembers the teamwork that vBF2 had in the early years. You could find a lot of squads using VOIP and working together to capture and (once in a blue moon) defend flags. Tank squads with engineer kits that roamed maps assaulting enemy positions. vBF2 has/had teamplay but it's just been very watered down for while now.

For me, PR actually made me enjoy arcade shooters (ex. cod) out there even more.
I use some PR tactics in Bc2 beta

PR didn't ruin other games for me because my computer is to slow to run anything other than PR.
When I play other games (on low graphic settings), I find myself very often typing messages like:
-In PR, you'd been dead by now.
-In PR, you would be out of breath by now.
-In PR, you would hit the dirt when a helo flies over your head instead of chasing it like a dog shooting your unbalanced assault rifle while jumping up and down like a maniac.
The response is always the same:
-What is PR?

I hope all the devs get slapped, now I can't play any games anymore because they're not PR..

I find myself better at all FPS's now solely based on how demanding PR is in respects of teamwork, and whatnot.

I wish more game developers were are nice as Dice and gave you the tools and ability to completely change your game. Could you imagine GTA IV turned into downtown Fallujah with AI insurgents around every corner, civilians everywhere, throw in some jets, helos, bradleys and abrams, 8 friends & some AI backup.

Use what you learned from PR, observing you're surroundings, going for the high ground, teamwork, etc...to your advantage.

Yeah, that's one thing from PR that always helps in other games, then again last time I tried it on MW2, the other team simply used their UAVs, heat scopes, HB sensors, and air strikes where the entire enemy team is marked out just in case you can't find any of them on a 100x100m map -.-
Situational awareness doesn't work on games where you have too much 2D info tbh :/

If you ever listened to any MW2 commentary posted on Youtube, alot of them will say you need a headset or surround sound system, so you can hear the enemy's footsteps. I can't count the number of times thats saved my virtual life.
Imma reference
this too
I've seen that happen in several games, riot shield lead, took fire, then the guy behind him killed the guys, winning us the game.
The type of people playing the game (not just talking MW2, other games too) just are too depedent on what they already have that's easily useable; so they are unable to use things such as, hearing the enemy, spotting un-natural things in treeline, finding silhouettes on the ridge line, etc. PR, shows you how to use these things and thus, you are better at most games.

PR is great. Im now addicted to Modern Warfare 2, but when I want to sit back, relax, and have fun in teamwork, I will always turn to PR.

I´ve always been easy to addapt my gamestyle but yesterday I tried some vanilla and MW2 after a couple of month of PR only and... I pretty much gave up after 30 minutes each...
MW2 for the fucked up matchmaking taking 10 minutes inbetween matches and vanilla because of the giant noob baserape we were dealt
