Hi. I am currently downloading the pr v.9 preload torrent thing, but i am new to torrents and have 2 questions. 1) is it normal that the down speed goes from like 15 kb/s to 150-200kb/s? And 2) If I pause the download and restart my computer, will i have to start over because my bf2 is experiancing problems so I'm calling ea tech support so if they have me restart my computer, i just want to know if I'll have to restart the whole thing. Thanks for your time.

2) No, it will start back up where it left off.

Yes, torrents changing speeds like that is normal and yes you can start/stop the download as much as you want.

PEOPLE! Turn your upload options ON! Theres more leechers than seeders for these things, slowing the rest of us all down. Be gracious to the community and allow what you got so far to be uploaded!

It aint illegal, so spread it as much as you can. For everyone's sake!

Hi guys, when the password comes out and we install the 0.9 patch, will we have to uninstall the older patches or is it sorted out automaticly? thanks

I heard the old files are deleted auto-maticly but i'm not sure.

Previous versions "may" still show up in add/remove programs, or programs and features, but there will be no dramas with the actual game if you either uninstall first, or don't and just run v0.9's installer over the top. Either way, it will work just fine.

You should use the torrent, to avoid corrupt downloads, since torrents have anti-corruption methods. Also has resume support, etc. It will be slow until more people get the file and seed back, but either way, if you've started now and have reasonably fast internet, you'll get it before Friday, which is what matters. Either way, you'll get it sooner than if we just released on Friday .

I currently live at a university connected to the school internet that blocks me from downloading from torrents and p2p. Will there be a different download location once the game is out?

Once the game is released on Friday there will be other options for downloading.

Can u help me out with that. what dose it mean its installed automatically and we dont have to do anything about it just start PR and it works :

I believe that theres an option to install mumble when you install 0.9, sorta like when you install a new browser and you're given the option to install toolbars with it.

Separate program within the same installer. Make sure to run and test it out every time you play 0.9, for pure ownage

Legit: Why do we have to wait until Friday?

Project Reality : Battlefield 2 Mod - Installer Passwords

As of Project Reality v0.9, we are using passworded installers for the early released torrents. This is so they can be unlocked at the official release time and everyone can start playing as soon as possible after release!

This way, we should be seeing full servers almost instantly, instead of seeing empty servers after release, while people are downloading and then slowly building up.

Hope more seed, i have a 90 max down rate, but uploading 130 constant, i want to be able to get this downloaded before release day. I can't wait for release day. Will probaily lower my upload max to 30 or 40 kb later, want to be able to watch some youtube on my ipod before sleeping.

Thanks, I personally would prefer the empty servers just to try out .9 xD, but whatever. I'm seeding right now.
