sorry if this is the wrong place to post...
But I have been downloading the part 1 file from last night and it is still 10%!!
Its downloading at 1 KB...
I am using uTorrent... and I some times get a speed of 500 max on uTorrent...
Anyone knows how to make it faster???
Please answer me!

I got the whole 3,3GiB set in less than 2 hours with steady 600-700KiB/s speed. Check your torrent client connection settings etc. Also check your upload speed aswell and your internet connections true speed

Download 500KB/S
Upload 40KB/S
I usually get pretty fast speeds for torrent!

µTorrent has a status bar at the bottom of the window. Is there a yellow triangle or green circle? Triangle, of course, means that there is a some kind of problem with your connection.

There is some kind of a red circle with a "!" inside it.. I hovered the mouse over and it said that firewall is limiting my connectivity to seeders or something like that...
Ill try turning it off

or just open the correct port (can be set in utorrent) so you don't sacrifice all security

also the torrents needs! more seeders

turned firewall off... now that circle is green with a tick in it... but still I am downloading only 12 KB/s!
my port is 45682... is there a better port?

well, im at work now so I don't know the seeder / leecher ratio. if people stopped seeding, then you won't get as much speed

i was only getting about 100 - 200k so i left it running overnight, 12 kb is pretty slow, so just let utorrent run a bit, it usually starts slow and then picks up

for me...
If it was gonna be fast it would have been started fast... if not, It starts slow.

basicly you need more seeders, which means mroe people who have downloaded should upload as well the mreo uploaders the faster you get the file

Just let the torrent run for a while.

I am getting 30-50 KB/S now
When I am done, ill seed till friday.

EDIT: Reached 100KB/S but now back to 20...
Ill just leave it.

can i seed onto the torrent using the files downloading from the link i downloaded from? when i down load both files (probs thursday night) i want to get helping out the community

Unfortunately you can't.

you can, download the torrent, run it and tell it to DL into folder, where your files are situated, it will run check if it is correct and dont have errors, when its done it will automatically start seeding

What ISP you are on?I know 012[mine] uses "traffic shaping techniques" to murder torrent speed in rush hours, usually from 4pm to midnight, I left mine open from 8pm and it was downloading extremely slow then past midnight it picked speed to 400kb/s and finished it.

I've uploaded 2 GB so far, so at least one person can say thanks to me

a good way to fix broken downloads as well btw
