Well PR can fix damage values from grenade launchers.... Its a lot harder to add in realistic/3D iron sights(In BF2 it looks like 3D, IE you are actualy aiming down THE gun model).

Americas army has good refrances for both 2d and 3d iron sights. Take the M16 sights for example, you watch the gun come up to firing position and then it snaps into a flat 2d image of the sights. But, if you use say, the M4, you can see that you are actualy aiming down the real gun model, not looking at an image pasted on to the screen.. If BF2 is striving twords good looks, and they are including iron sights, 3d is a must. 2D works, but it isn't nearly as good as 3D. Ill try to find some of these pics from BF2.

on the latest movie they demonstrate the same iron sights like the M4 in AA and also same reload sequence...
Only thing is not good in BF2..is when u bring the iron sights up and u move at the same time...the back end of the gun is moving..and the front end stays steady...

I would like to see players who use Iron sights rewarded with improved accuracy, like in Op Flash! The down side should be a restricted field of view and loss of manoverability whilst the iron sights are in use and whilst the gun is lifted to and from the face/ chest.

it shouldnt be too hard to make 3d iron sites. As in bf1942 when you went into the alternate view the gun also moved....could you not move it infront of the screen instead of say..to the side? and add in a high poly close up LOD model for when this occurs? Well actualy it doesnt need high poly just a decent texture i guess.

i agree with solo, if you have ever held a real weapon (i shot and held thomson, shot a 35 revolver, shot the ppk like 007 gun, shot a 45 glock,i owned a .22 merlin) all these sights that i used the closest sight is almost 2d you only see the front sight which in some games is 2d in the back and 3d in the front which i find pretty realistic. but it also has to do with how close u put the gun up to you chin and how close to your eye ball.

isnt it scary to use iron sights/scopes? take the sniper. wont you get a blue eye because the scope keeps ramming your face after each shot?
the way iron sights are implemented in bf2 is fine with me

That's why you don't press the scope into your eye socket.
