Damn. I got both files in ten minutes. 11mb/sec per file ftw!

How is that possible?

I'm running on a DMZ, and have all my FW stuff off.

What torrent application are you running? Have you tried uTorrent? That helps with the speeds a bit. Make sure your connection is set to high in order to get the juices flowing.

Hmm... Try quitting and restarting uTorrent a few times. That way you might connect to some different/better peers.

My download is taking quite a while too, but I also have a pretty old computer. (2007 being old, I guess... _ )
I'm downloading from a different site than Torrents, though, because apparently my computer can't read the Torrents files.

BTW, you're the first person I've seen on the forums from Japan, Incognito. Cool.
Unless you just put that as your location because you felt like it.

I actually do live here, haha. I was in Korea up until about a week ago and forgot to change my location until today. It's actually a bad thing to live here and play PR, as the ping can become an issue!

ive been seeding at 400kbs since tuesday, i don't think others quite understand how torrent work

Well what am I doing wrong? Like I said my firewall is disabled and I am running on a DMZ. I have it set to "high bandwidth" too

Did you make sure to reset your overall download limit after you clicked ok ok ok on installation?

Your slow download definitely isn't slow because of lack of seeders.

Could be your ISP, but are you sure that maybe your upload rate when DL, chokes your DL speed.

I have 1,1 MB/s DL and 51 KB/s UL rates at my ISP, but while downloading, i've set my utorrent to upload at max speed of 6 KB/s. Alternate rate when not DL is set to 40 KB/s.

If you upload at your full upload speed when downloading, it happens that your UL simply chokes your DL speed and you are unable to utilize your full DL potential than.

I've been seeding for the past two days. Downloaded really fast I actually saw it peak at 7mb/s which I have never seen before.

NZ net sux0rs - only now are there some non-capped options - but they are shaped.
