Is it really that unless you have a macho PC you can't run it?

i have a pretty macho pc and im still crashing like a mofo

i can't even log onto servers i keep getting dissconected before a even join a squad its super annoying

I don't think my pc is too macho, and I havn't come across any performance problems, got an old 8800GTX gpu and 4gb of ram on 32bit OS....

Only had some minor lag on Gaza or whatever, no other issues.

Besides the random CTD's so far on Lashkar, Fallujah and Dragon fly?

I just hate having to share my internet with 400 other people.

Well, i have crapy PC ... Core 2 Duo E6300 1.83Mhz / nVidia 7600GT 512 Mb / 1 Gb ram 533 Mhz / ... and its running very well, i just noticed when im playing 0.9 maps for first time there is longer loading, after first load verything is Ok ... i love 0.9 ...

Q8400, 9600 GSO 512, 3 Gigs of 1333 PNY RAM. Runs ok unless I'm recording.

maybe 5 ctd today.muttrah,siege at ocrabokra ...
and some other maps.
i have tested with low graphigs and low audio,no change.crashes.
i decreased my resolution in game and its not crashing yet.
but some problem there are in audio.some animations makes the audio sounds stop a little.
tomorrow more testing.

I can run everything on full except in Lashkar. The fields full of corn/grass/opium(lol) seem to cause my HD5870 to get very sluggy... and generally on the map I notice a drop. Going to test Fallujah later to see if theres a difference there.

Only actually played Gaza Beach, Dragon Fly and Asad Khal as of yet, but I've simply went and fixed my previous issue of the game being locked in a VSync mode, dropped AA to None (It really doesn't bother me, and it means that I'm getting up to 200 fps with all other settings on high on some maps).

Gaza Beach and Dragon Fly were lagging for me. I did the above, and Dragon Fly went to 30-60 fps to 50-90fps. I've yet to check Gaza.


I think it's just that the maps are very intensive (might need to be optimized) and people are used to keeping their settings higher than these maps which are becoming more and more detailed and atmospheric that they cannot handle it. (I'm probably wrong...)

Try changing your textures to MEDIUM- It fixed all my FPS and CTD problems.

Was getting invisible ground half every time I joined and other small problems. then re-installed everything and it got more stable, but now I am getting CTD's consistently about 2 minutes after joining a server. It wasnt CTD before re-installing.

Installed 0.9 over 0.87...crashed.
Uninstalled 0.85core,0.85levels, 0.87patch, 0.87sp and so on.
Installed 0.9 again.. no problems.
Framrates can go a bit low on new maps but meh.

tried medium textures, now instant CTD after hitting 'Join squad" button after server load up. Ridiculous.

yup me too, anyone know how to remove/bypass this screen? its extremely annoying and really getting on my nerves, i already tried everything.

You are using the wrong link to start the game. Go to the Mods directory in your BF2 directory and create a shortcut of the Pr.exe in there.

Loads of people having exaggerated troubles ever since installing 0.9 This is ridiculous. Someone find a fix!!

it would really help alot if everyone complaining of performance problems would list their computer specs. just saying "ZOMG PR RUNS CRAPPY ON MY PC WTF" doesnt help anyone narrow down the problem very much.
