That is what it is sounding like from all the 100 new threads in the support forum, but I havent played the new version yet due to my internet being down for the next month.


Im glad i get to wait a month though , so all the kinks can get worked out and patches can be released.



Also does anyone have a list of the system requirments .??????????

How is your internet down and you can still post on a forum?

Contradiction fail...

The system requirements appear to be much higher than previous versions.

Apparently:

AMD Athlon X2 6400+
ATI Radeon 5870
4 gig DDR2 RAM

Don't cut it for .9.

friends computer, work computer, school computer.... etc etc

From the amount of issues iv heard about 0.9. i don't think im going to bother until the dev's fix it for the lower end users, and get rid of the bugs.

And im also hearing a lot of people telling others to up grade, which is a bad idea. there are new generation processors coming out this year and from what iv been told they will be 3 times faster then any thing on the market now.

So if you by a new computer now it will be almost totally absolute by these new computers come out.

Actually it seems its the high end users have the issues...

E8400 @ 3.0, 8800GT, 2GB RAM here and I'm doing fine. The only issue I'm having are the maps taking no less than 5 minutes to load.

Stop saying lag when talking about performance. Lag and sluggish performance are TWO different god damn things. Its so confusing, and people always answer my questions wrong when referring to these two topics.

If you must do this, say VIDEO LAG, if you are talking about actual performance.

Low NETWORK PERFORMANCE i.e. LAG will affect your character in game, not your ability to run the game at certain settings. So you will bounce around and such with lag, but the game will still be smooth.

Yea fellas im running a GF 9800, don't think its bad system problems, cause my game runs fine on SP on high settings, but online i get great FPS and a TERRIBLE GODAWFUL LAG unless i run Medium settings!!!!

Don't personally think its the system since many MANY people are having this problem both high and low end comps, it must be something with .9 itself. I'm not a computer expert but I don't think it's just coincidence that everyones having these problems...

Fuked up PR v0.9 - Xfire Video

This is what happens after my game flips a switch. It suddenly gets extremely stuttery. You can really tell when I pull up the map and watch the mouse skip.

Also, when it happens, the screen flashes black first, then comes back and my monitors color profile is changed to jacked up color settings. I have to bring my monitors menu up and change it (Wich I did before recording the video) *This is the weirdest part.*

*Note that when the guy walks backward it makes it look like a network issue but its not that. Its just the low FPS the video was recorded in, combined with the stuttering skipping the animations. (he was walking backwrards)

Before this happens, the game runs beautifully smooth and fast. And I can usually get a full round in now and then the second round (Wether I leave the server and re-join or not) it will do this.

I have the same configuration except that I have 4gb of RAM. I suggest you get 4gb RAM if you're using Win7. Works beautifully for me. I love the new maps.

Runs like a dream on all high no AA.

AMD 9850
8800GT
4gb Ram

Settings all on high, except texture on medium.

I play fine, except in some areas like large corn fields, my fps drops about 30 fps.

Intel E8400 3.0 GHz
3.25 GB Ram
Windows 7 32bit Ultimate
ATI HD 4850 512mb

crashes, ctd etc...

So I have been able to play no problem and then all of a sudden I crash to desktop a few minutes after joining. Crashed 5 times on one server and then tried another with the same results. lowered my textures with no luck.



edit: So i ended up restarting my computer and i havent had the problem since. weird
