haha yeah... my last round I was SL... the whole round was a joke (starting with my squad losing a Land Rover (it was Al Basrah) to another guy that stole it.. XD after that we had logistics problems... Later, we were on the opposite side of the map (next to the pipelines, shooting a lot of people and getting shot too!). We reported a possible cache, which was real at the consturction site.
By then I was having loads of fun. Some people were leaving my squad and it got filled up again because of what was happening to us... it was all-in-all pretty fun. We later got all the way to the S side of the map (by the highway) and defended the FOB, tried some attacks on the city, didn't work pretty well, we tried a land rover offensive = 1 land rover and 3 people dead.
I was probably remembered the worst SL those people have ever had... but looking back we did one of the most useful stuff in the team. Spotting a cache, building 1 FOB, attacking other caches... Getting lots of intel...
And well, the unexpected part was... we only built 1 FOB. Just one. There were a total of 3 or 4 FOBs in the whole round. My FOB got destroyed 10 minutes after we left for an offensive (total = 15 minutes survival). The other 2 FOBs (one nearer the city and one in the highway) survived MUCH more (almost the whole round..) and much more people spawned in it (my FOB, which was W of the city, got I think 2 squads spawned in). Now, as I was saying, the unexpected part was that we got Best Squad (in points, of course XD). I got 3rd place overall (losing for the 2 APC crewman). 2 of my squad members, which were the only ones that stayed the whole round got 4th and 5th best place. Not a bad joke round, seriously. Looking back, it was a great PR round. (I wasn't planning on uninstalling it, I decided later).
Though I could see a lot of interesting rounds with someone being a prisioner and my squad volunteering for the rescue... I like doing that kind of stuff, instead of just cache-hunting or Flag Capturing...
I was also thinking of a good way to rescue someone under arrest at Korengal Valley... Supposing the Taliban request a Logistics Truck for them at the H6/H5(?) compound (which is surrounded by walls, with a climb below, and hills to the North and to the West).
While someone would be driving it uphill through the long route, the rest of my squad would be moving up from the S side, and stacking up on the wall. When my other squad member gave me the notice that the logi truck had been delivered, my riflemen specialist would throw the rope and blow the door. And we would clear the place of Talibans (because my squad member would let me know via radio how many talibans were there and possible grenade traps and IEDs, and the prisioner would be unarmed, and not have a radio).
It would be fun!
