So I was having problems with my PR running so I decided to uninstall BF2/PR. After I reinstalled BF2 and tried to patch up to v1.50 I keep getting an error where it says "You already have a newer version installed."



Hopefully, someone can help me, as it is making me go insane

go into your registry with regedit, find the bf2 dir and change the valeu of the version to 1.41 , something lower then the patch and it will patch.

The uninstall procedure didnt delete the registry entries and thus it still thinks it has the latest version installed

start run regedit and go to this dir :

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Electronic Arts\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\

find the version and modify the valeu to 1.41 or lower to be safe 1.0 , something the patcher will accept
