I know its still REALLY early after the release but I have to ask, where are all of our medics?? In previous PR versions Ive never seen such a lack of medics ever, not even after a release; In every game Ive joined since .9s release Ive checked the squads and Ive litterally only seen 2 or 3 medics on the team at any given moment. Squad leaders arent assigning/asking for medics, and no one seems to be voulenteering for the role either (Ive found myself pulling up the medics "slack" in my squads and Im usually acting as grenaider or riflemen). Am I the only one thats noticed this? Or have I just chosen bad times to play?

havent seen any changes, as usual, if SL orders some1 to be medic, and he is not a ****, than squad will have a medic. Probably a bit less because of new guns, but that wont be for long

i noticed this too. its probably just from the influx of people coming back for a new release.

I hate not being the medic. I must have played some 8 rounds since the release; 7 as a medic. The other round I played with the Officer kit, being a SL. As a result, the medic in the squad was stupid. I'm sorry, this must sound quite arrogant, but he was just stupid.

It just got on my nerves when he wouldn't heal people laying right below him. I had to leave the server. Actually, I left the game.

So, for the sake of my own health, I play as a medic.

Sometimes you cant get a medic in the squad because someone else has selected the medic kit in the spawn, this buggered our squad for quite awhile since the one had it didnt die.

I play as a medic a lot because a lot of people go silent when the sl says someone take medic. Two reasons why medic annoys me 1. No scopes as i mentioned in the other thread even with the new update meaning especially on the new maps where firefights are happenening 2-300m + i just lie there waiting until we move in occasionally healing someone which is stupidly boring. 2. You're a medic for hours keeping your squad alive but when you get hit and the rest of your are alive nobody is willing to take the kit youve been healing them with for an hour and get you up.

I really don't mind being the medic my only quam with it and why I tend to stay away is the iron sights. I don't see why they have to handicap the medic with iron sights, a red dot scope would be at least minimally effective and thats only at medium to close range.

I play medic only for my clan because the thing is: they do wait when they are wounded to be revived !! Non-squad allies always give up, same for casual players in your squad (they give up) as well. You can tell them to wait but they usually end up giving up because they are used to...

What's the point for a medic to smoke, rush and revive a player who has already given up and get yourself shot ? Also, when a medic is dead nobody is picking his kit to revive him and continue the game.

Come on, medics risk their lives to revive and nobody (or very few) is returning the favor. Also, if players are doing the thing mentionned above, it is no use being a medic and it would be better to be rifleman (at least you can take part in the action).
Yesterday, at siege of ochamchira (sorry for spelling), I was medic and it was utterly dull, I didn't even fire a single bullet and my d/k ratio was 0/0 and I only revived members of my clan.

I hope with 0909, players will have the patience to wait for medic (because of the lack of rally point/FOB) and let him do the job.

side note : I don't mind the unscope as I practice to shoot 100m+ threats (or at least supress till other squaddies take care of it).

Im always a medic, im use to being one now. Dont like any other kit unless SL say so or im SL.

One of the reasons why I loveplaying as medic is because of the ironsight. I'll take the ironsight over the reddot any day.

Gotta have 4 or more members in a squad before anyone can request medic kit. So no more medics for 2 or 3 men squads, which kinda sucks, IMO :/

Please Devs take notice and put the medics number back down to 3 members in a squad! 4 is a little harsh! We have to rely alot more on medics now with the new rally system!

Its a videogame, the ironsight and red dot is nothing more than a digital sheet of paper indicating where your rounds will go.

In real life id take a red dot any day with both eyes open and simplified paralax, and thats why I got it for my airsoft. In the game though, its pretty much the same.

Ontopic: Sadly I think the no scope for medics is necessary to keep them from getting too aggressive in firefights and killed much earlier. But the medic rifle is still useful in long range to help suppress the targets that the better equipped squad members are shooting at.

Please Devs take notice and put the medics number back down to 3 members in a squad!
