I'll dive right into this.

Basically I install BF2, I then install patch 1.41 which works fine.

I then go to run patch 1.5 but it doesn't open, nothing happens. I've tried to run as an administrator but still nothing happens.

I've reinstalled BF2 and patch 1.41 5 times now, aswell as download two different 1.5 patches from different sources.

I've tried to google a fix but can't really find one.

Can anyone help?

I don't really understand what you mean.

I install patch 1.41 before trying 1.5. And no, I'm using XP.

make sure you are really installing 1.41 and not 1.4 (google still finds mirrors for those old patches)

if you got the 1.5 patch in a zip file you should extract it first instead of accessing the installer directly in the archiv

make sure windows is up-to-date (all patches and SPs)

try rebooting right after you installed each patch

I think the two previous downloads of 1.5 were bad. I downloaded another over-night and it worked. I'm just waiting for PR part 1 to finish now.

where did you download the working 1.5 I have same problem

Im so behind, I have not played this in years.
Is the latest project reality compatible with the 1.5 patch?

Yes it is. You can just download the latest 0.9 Project Reality version.

For the previous response if your 1.5 patch fails you can edit your BF2 version in the registry and force it to patch over any missed or bad files. This is by far the best way to deal with BF2's crappy patch system.
