Ok so I decided to download Project Reality today from Project Reality : Battlefield 2 Mod - Downloads and used File Plant and it worked fine. Earlier I downloaded it and used MoD DB client and it didnt work and kept saying it was corrupted. Anyway, I downloaded the 2/2 parts and then downloaded Muble but when I click on the shortcut "PR" on my desktop it opens and seems like it's going to work but then it goes to a black screen and closes and goes back to my desktop screen...It does not say anything at all. So I decided to open the normal BF2 game and now it does the exact same thing.....Please help, any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

Anywho: If your ISP will allow it, torrenting it usually works the best and usually a lot of people are seeding the latest PR release torrent which allows for awesome DL speeds if you have a good connection.

Well I'm reading the manual, It says about deleting older version of PR which I don't have obviously, Ahh anyone mind almost like guiding me through on it. As well with torrent when I click the client, it takes me to LimeWire to download it..Like I said, I didn't download the client where it's not 2 parts, I downloaded the one that is 2 parts.

Question: Have you installed patch 1.41 and 1.50 of BF2 before? If not, do it and install 0.9 again.

I have not downloaded any patches since I have gotten the game, I thought it was good to go. As well I thought 1.41 was the newest patch? I can play on all BF2 servers so wouldn't they all require the newest version

Assuming that you installed correctly:

I had the exact same problem. I hate to say it but the only solution I found was to uninstall BF2 entirely, download the 1.41 patch and install that first. After that I installed patch 1.50 and then the PR part 1 and 2.
If I patched directly to 1.50 the game wouldn't start and the screen just turned black for a few seconds.

Patching BF2 has always been a pain in the butt. I have never patched BF2 without problems.

If you want to try a last resort before re-installing you might want to go to: My documents->Profiles->Default and open op the .CON file called Video (use notepad to open it).
You will se a text string that says something like this: VideoSettings.setResolution 1024x768@70Hz

Change the resulution to what you use in Windows and also change the Hz that your screen is set to.
If you don't know the Hz that your screen is running right click on desktop->properties-> click on the Setting tab-> Click on Advanced -> Click on the Screen tab. You should see the number there.

It didn't work for me but it worked for some people. Good luck.

I had the same thing after installing new PR and solved this issue by removing all the old files from My Documents/Battlefied 2 folder. You lose your settings though but they are easy to put back. Hope it helps

I had a similar problem. What worked for me is I downloaded .net 3.5 as it didn't install correctly with the PR installer.

Also, try right click on the pr.exe and choose run as administrator.

You will need Patch 1.50 to run PR. Must have been servers that didn't install the new patch as well that you have been playing on.

Ok that sounds like a good idea, Did you delete your entire BF2 folder or only the BF2 folder in the mods folder?

Update: Downloaded 1.5 and it's working now!!!!!Thanks a lot, appreciate a helping community. Final, trying to find a server now, I'm looking for a English speaking server, I live in Canada, Ontario so I'm sure any US server would be great. Furthermore I'd like to see a lot of team work/squads not just a run out and blararara dead..lol Thanks.
