I know laptops are not the best for running any kind of game, but I was wondering if these specs would run Project Reality.

Windows 7
AMD Athalon 64 X2 2.1ghz
4gb ram
ATI Radeon HD 3200

The laptop might be a bit hard pressed to run PR to it's full potential.

like i said, if you enjoy playing games using microsoft powerpoint go ahead.

but with the level of ventilation that most laptops have it will overheat.

I use to have a desktop with a better setup built for games but the mobo went out. I was thinking of picking up bf2 if this laptop could run it.

it may run BF2 but my laptop has spent the past month and a half being rebuilt by the germans after i put it through gaming.

and remember PR is much, much, much more hardware intensive than BF2.

It'll probably run it okay on max settings (assuming 1440x900 resolution), but you'll notice lag in places on fallujah and the like.

to original poster i have almost that exact system.. mine is as follows
1366x768 resolution
amd 2.1 dual core
windows 7 x64
4 gb ddr3 ram and a radeon hd 4200m video card, dell 15.6 laptop
I personaly dont like it, i run mostly medium and low setting right now i'd say low is ok setting
but medium cause lag and jitters and i have all the direct x and .net4 updated so i'd say take your five hundred dollars it cost for mine and look for a desktop. I think staples has some good quad cores that will need a better video card for between 450-550 but don't take my word for what to buy... because i don't want someone to be dissapointed.

So the lag might be because of VGA ? CPU i think is fine for PR... What do you think about laptop with weaker cpu like i3 but better VGA like HD 5650 ? You know i dont want getting lags
