Question from newcomer

Hello, I'm a newcomer to PR, and I was wondering if someone here could answer a couple of questions? My first question is, after I download PR v0.9, can I still play Battlefield 2, or will PR overwrite it? My second question is, does v0.9 have single-player mode included, or do I need to get that separately, and if so where? I hope to hear from you all soon, and wish you well.

You can run BF2 separately without overwriting it and v0.9 comes with co-op integrated in the download.

Welcome to Project Reality and the forums!
A lotta new faces around here recently, but that's good. Always nice to maximize the player base.
What ][nvert said pretty much answers your questions. You can still play normal BF2 fine with PR installed, although some of your default settings in BF2, like auto-reload and crosshair color will be different if you switch back. But no big deal.
I
strongly recommend that you read the manual for PR that installed with the game. It will give you some very important instructions and tips on how to play, as PR is very different from BF2.
Have fun! Be sure to check out Mumble sometime in the future too.
But I won't go into that now. Just enjoy the mod!

You will be able to play BF2 even if you install PR and yes PR has a single player mode (called co-op) in it.
And welcome to PR!

The manual I got was 2 shorcuts to this site... Which is locked via admin.
So yeh, I'd read the manual if I could.

I just played it for the first time. Seems pretty straightforward, not too difficult at all. Almost seems like a cross between Battlefield 2 and America's Army 3. I really like the improved running distance opposed to Battlefield 2. Your character isn't winded after running a couple dozen yards now, which I thought was pretty lame in BF2. Thanks for the replies and advice everyone provided, I really appreciate it.

It's good practise to keep BF2 and PR (and some other mod) profiles separated so playing PR won't mess your controls.
