FARC Soldiers

For some reason i think that this is what most of the people on the forums have been waiting for...

The most badass time was to import the mesh on .3ds max. I Had to import and export the mesh various times, in various modelling programs to don't lose the UV Map, until i have figured a way on it, i just had lost many of time. Now the textures as a hell of a god feeling making them. They where so easy to make and the final result is pretty godlike in my opinion. Now, the Kits, i have a tough that i'll not have the same "easy" on them...

Wow, they look pretty. But I do worry about the visibility of that yellow in a jungle environment.

These are pretty cool mate, i can't wait for the FARC! I think you should make the uniform a bit more dirty though.

Edit: Damn ninja'd for first post!

That's really high quality work!

However, I agree with gunner, the yellow might be a bit much. A bit of dirt couldn't hurt either.

Good work on the model, however the real test comes with being able to rig the model to the skeleton, as well as seeing if you can get facial expressions to be rigged. Notice with all custom player models, even in FH2, that there are no facial expressions?

seriously, how often are you that close, that you could notice?

I might have overstated the importance of facial rigging, but the issue of rigging still stands, especially the rigging of the first person hands (the wrist has a nasty tendency to twist and WARP into a single thread if you turn it, that`s why there are sleeves covering the wrists in vBF2 soldiers). Good luck

By the way the arms and hands look well sculpted, so that is something you can be proud of.

Wow they look great, ace job :)

But like mentioned above, wont the yellow shoulder band ruin the camo, i doubt they wear it in combat and only wear it during parades and such.

Everthing is just a reskin from the Australian Army models in Eve of Destruction Mod, as you can notice in the credit box...

All the models are already in-game.... but i guess that will be kinda hard to put them on PR

Edit:

The ARF mod managed to port them to PR, maybe they can help us =)

the problem with those EOD models is, that vbf2 kits wouldnt fit on them (sam problem can be seen with the british kits/playermodels)

Looks nice, but I think that the texture of the faces is a bit too low-quality.

'[R-COM wrote:Hauteclocque;1186258']The issue of kits seems to have been solved (look at the Russian kits, now the dropbags are only weapons).
But well, if you want to see it ::mrgreen :( French skins are previous ones)

I guess it's been solved

Kits Textures and Final scenes:

The Kit textures of EOD was already god for the FARC because of the simplicity of the tetxures, i just added it more contrast and some "cloth" effect to make it more realistic. Even if the soldiers are already done, i guess that it still need some effort on the kit geometries, as the FARC uses berets and caps, who the AU kit geo don't have.

Nice ones... but what about dark skin models? I'd suggest it, but like a dark skinned version of a white one. Don't forgett the dirt.
