I have a REALLY old dell pc: dimension 2400 -_-;
It has a pentium 4 2.4G CPU...
I added a Geforce 8400GS to play vBF2, which is fine until I played PR...
Now, I have 1gb of ram.
What/how much should I upgrade to play PR at atleast over 30fps(or enough fps to have a smooth gameplay)?

if your motherboard is as old as your pc inserting another 1GB of RAM is probably the only resonable thing you can do
if you are using a 64-bit os i suggest getting 4gb dual channel ram (replacing your 1gb ram)- since ram seems cheap right now
however you did not specify what mobo you have got so I cannot tell wether it will support dual channel or even 4GB of ram - check the manual for that
generally your problem will be bottlenecking - which means: even if you get a top gfx-card your mobo and/or cpu and/or gfx will drag the whole system back down
your system will only be as powerful as the weakest link
right now thats your ram
next up is probably the mobo's fsb

with .9 there is not too much hope for your pc i'm afraid
another gig of ram should however increase overall performance notably. what fps do you have atm?

I have around 20fps.
I guess I need to save up more money.
Sorry for this thread to be in the wrong section(I thought I posted this in the techinical section, but I found it here...).
I will try to get 2gb of ram.
The only reason I have this crappy PC right now is because I spent nearly all my money on this:

(Not a real firearm)
If I ignore the mags, I can hyptonize myself into thinking that it is a Type 95 with a different grip.
Next time I get money, I will swap the internals of this old PC to a new one with a new motherboard.
Does anyone have ideas as to where I can get a cheap, relatively nice looking tower + decent compatible motherboard?
