[0909] Some random BF2 1.5 bug crashing the game during map loading (most maps)

On all game modes, a BF2 1.5 error has come up, and crashed the game during loadups.

This will happen 5/8 times, and it's too much to just "ignore" it if it shuts the game down.

This has happened mostly on Co-op (because I like to play that, for some reason. Also, may I add that the bots whore the Helicopters too much? On a few maps they take all the helicopters and never return, not even dying), but has happened on Multiplayer too.

Let's say there are 20 maps, 16 out of 20 maps WILL give me the 1.5 error (this may be all maps, as I've not played them all yet).

Yes, it is definitely during loadings. In the game itself I haven't received this error, but as again, only during loadup. But when this error should have been shown when I was playing, the game has lagged tremendously, and the lag was so bad that I was kicked by "admin/vote/other" although there where only bots. My ping has always been below 75 (unless it is a major foreign server such as America or the far east)

What could be causing this? I have re-installed BF2 1.5 about 6 times now as suggested, but it's not done anything.

Next time I happen to get this error I shall take a picture.

What? Could you get a picture or get the error message, 1.5 error doesn't really ring any bells.

The six times I have downloaded it have been from different sites.

A few being the official mirror, rapidshare, filefront, megaupload, and I forgot the other two (I think one was softpedia)

I get this error too. I will load up a map fine and play that map with odd lag.
Then on every second map without fail it crashes when it gets to the geometries.
It is painful because it means i can only play one map with my clan then disconnect and load again usually being late to the action.
I cant give you a SS because its just s CTD for me.
Please get this fixed or itll kill pr.

used to have this error when i reinstalled bf2 since I forgot to set bf to handle addresses larger than 2 gigs.

JaLooNz the Webbie: Enabling large address aware for games

Look under the section "The Solution" and follow the steps there.
Of course, this is only an issue if you have RAM > 2 Gigs

My guess is that your computer suffering from physical memory corruption. Machine may seem to work correctly most of the time, but when you start using last bits of the physical memory, like when installing a large program or loading a map, problems will occur. You should check how much and what kind of memory your motherboard can handle and see if your current configuration meets manufacturers requirements.
