Russians->Brits exchange

Hi, guys. Can someone explain me a reason, why russians were replaced by brits at some maps? I mean, russians vs chechens - logically and real, but brits vs chechens, hmm, that's strange.

The "Chechens" have been replaced/renamed to the Militia now, to give a more broad spectrum of scenarios, like it was before .85.

Fools road was originally a Brit map but was given to russians as they had no maps iirc. Now the russians have maps and seeing how brits lost a fair few seems only fair to give it them back.
(correct if info is wrong)

imho i think that the new layout sucks. although i love our british comrades... come on, they have a lot of maps. i liked the chechen vs russia scenario. im kinda sad that archer went to the canadians... but i guess they deserve a desert map as well.

Archer was made for the Canadians, USMC was just a placeholder army until the faction was done ;-)

It was the mappers decision. Fools Road, Dragon Fly and Siege at Ocamachira are meant to be a full series of IronTaxi's "Brit v Militia" campaign.

It was just obvious the more factions we have the more the battle over the maps evolve.

But it´s fine with me as long as every faction has an equal part of the maps.

thx for explaining XD. idk, i still dont like the new layout. and as far as the ARF is goin, we're making our own maps so this really shouldn't be a problem for us. And as a mapper, i understand if the mapper wants the map to go to another faction, its just that im sad to see the entire scenario go away

Thanks for explanations.
But i must tell that Fools Road and Dragon Fly looks like a pieces of "mother Russia" , all this soviet-like antourage, buildings, nature etc, so, for me it looks strange, that brits fighting some abstract militia forces in russian environment :)

There used to be flavour text at the start of every map. Removing this was a little silly imo because it opens up questions like these.

The original theme was a multinational, UK led force deployed to (from memory) the black sea area (or the balklans, honestly don't remember) in order to stomp all over a militia who was supplying arms willy nilly, causing tonnes of problems and get their leader who was causing it.

Operation Dragonfly was a go!

Bring back the flavour text plox ^_^.

Just PRETEND. Well, not in England's case... But in Russia vs. Militia. They could be Chechen, Dagestani, whatever's your pleasure.
