Sory for my english, i speak only in french.

I can play only 1 or 2 minute. After the cumputer reboot.

the bug happens only when i install battelfield Bad Company 2 Beta.

If i d'ont install BFBC2. No bug in PR

if you are using the same accounts to play the games don't (not even sure if they can be shared)

make a new account for each game or duplicate the account

What happens (crash to desktop, bluescreen, unexpected reboot, disconnect)? when does this happen (before/after login, in menu, when loading a map, when playing on a server)?

report this to the bfbc2 ppl too please, maybe they can help

only thing i could think of is maybe the EA Downloader causing this problem, do you have the digital bf2 version from the bf2 downloader?

I do not have the same account in PR and BFBC2.

In BF2 my acount is GenSin001 and in BFBC2 my account is my e-mail.

I do not use EA Downloader and i de not have a digital version of BF2.

I create a new account in PR.

now i understand, i think:

you are playing pr and while you are ingame on a server (map has already fully loaded) your computer just suddenly reboots

this has a wide range of possible causes
here are some probable causes:
this can be due to overheating (self protection)
or hardware failure (something is broken [e.g. capacitator leaking])
or a critical error (bsod)

i think its the latter, do this to make the bluescreen last long enough to read it Disabling Blue Screen Of Death Auto-Reboot - Windows XP Tips and Tweaks on Tune XP

then write down the error code (0x000xxxxxx) and error message (e.g. PAGE_FAULT), google it, post it here


what are your system specs please (operating system, gfx card etc)?
do you see graphical artifacts (textures look strange, rainbow colors, no walls/ground, purple check patterns) right before the reboot or earlier?

something else to try in the mean time: update your gfx drivers

Processor : E8400
Graphic card : Sapphire 4890 New edition
Sound card : Sound Blastes Fatality1

I desable the auto-reboot on WinXP.

No error message. it still reboot

I think ti's not overheating because when i play BFBC2.
I have no problems.

i am afraid i am out of ideas other than some system file got corrupted during the installation of BFBC2
or you are having a hardware failure (but that could be anthing)

I suggest you wait for the final release of BFBC2 and see if that problem still occurs - again the ppl at BFBC2 will probably want to hear about your problem
