CQB Firefights arent realistic and funny

have lots of firefights with a guy 10-50 metres from me..We realize each other while running.
Then prone or not and shoot each other in short burst, single fire.
10 secs NO one hit...
I mean, deviation system is good, but 5 secs to get good aim at CCQ is to much, when in 200-900 Metres situation its ok..
But when i see a guy ... ok i am scared...1-2 secs but then i should hit..
seems better in previous versions...

Better in previous versions how?
In previous versions, if you moved at all with WASD keys you would have max deviation. Now, you can be still, settles deviation, tap the WASD keys a tad or two and only slightly increase your deviation. So when going around a corner in the current version, settle for a second, catch your breath, then shift around it. Youll have better chances at hitting someone than someone who is barreling around the corner.
Dont know how the previous versions could be better than this new system that allows for the slight WASD adjustments.
It shouldnt take 5 seconds to lower your deviation to hit someone at 10 meters. 5 seconds or whatever is a high number for shooting out at long ranges where you want the deviation cone to settle as fully as possible. You should only have to wait a split second or two before firing, or bet on the mass hail of bullets and just start shooting right away.
What Ive come to notice about myself is that when I get surprised, start firing randomly, I rarely hit. If I see them, take a breath, aim, and steadily fire, I tend to come out alive. Sometimes I die, but heck, its a game. The times I die the most are when I frantically fire without thinking of deviation settling for a second. Dont start shooting right away unless you want it to be a matter of luck hitting them.
I think deviation is the best its ever been, it just takes some playing with to get used to it.

they are more realistic now. in previous verson there was like muttrah and you see a guy and both of you prone down and wait like 5 sec and then you take shot after shot and after 20 sec or something one of you are lucky and hit.
but now, on 0.9 it feel more realistic because of the deviation that is fixed. everything is perfect now.

Why prone dive? The reason you guys are missing is because prone deviation has been fixed so prone dive spamming is no longer useful in CQC. Had you taken a knee, or even continued to stsand and shoot, one of you might've died a lot faster.

i think the problem is that you don't realise that in reallife you you saw soemone with a gun and he was 10 - 50 meters away from you would panic!(at the disco) and not be able to shoot straight thats common sence unless your a cool *** who doesn't care about dying

yeah dont go prone it gives you a huge penalty in deviation.

Not a fan of the deviation system, I think the bullets should land where the sights are pointing.
But I understand that its a necessary workaround because of lacking features(like ballistics) in the BF2 engine.

Yeah I have nailed a few prone spammers who have yet to realize that it doesn't work anymore. Basically PR can never be 100% realistic due to the BF2 engine. But its as close as possible. If you don't like it go play Arma.

I never have had to wait for deviation, all you have to do is fire from the hip alot screaming like a girl like I do and you'll be fine.

The easiest way I win a firefight is by shooting as fast as I can at them no matter if it misses, then I go for accuracy. When the bullets hit near them they are constantly blinded by the suppression screen and they started getting nervous and firing every which way. Then you get accurate and end them.

When I see people go prone in game in close quarters 1vs1 fighting I feel disgusted (or at least I used to). It's something many of us grew out of a very long time ago and now we recieve the benefits of playing in a realistic manner and not having to adjust or get used to tryign to exploit 'the game'.

Just dont go prone...
Today i ran behind a corner, a guy proned with m4, i crouched with pistol, he was aiming, i was hipfiring, distance of 2m, i won... was hurt, but we had a medic...

My quick opinion. Max cone value for the assult rifles should be lowered, but remain 5s full settle time for long shots. Even after running you can easily hit the target right away what is like 10m away. IRL, raise gun and fire=hit. PR, keep the target aimed for a couple sec and fire=probably hit. Mod name carry such name what obligates to seek realism so please do so.

ive never had problems at hitting targets at 10m in PR, ever. yes the deviation system could be tweaked, but people make some crazy claims of missing targets under 10m etc is just weird .just blowing it out of proportion IMO.
