They are called rumors for a reason, I was playing on a server and a bunch of guys were having an intense conversation about how they are going to add iran into the game with possible future updates, because of all the drama that is happening over their with the protests and the new coverage. At first I was skeptical but then I did some looking around and found out that Iran has alot military hardware it can offer to the game.

After thinking a bit I realized that if they plan on adding more islamic factions, then Iran would be a valid choice.. And before you scream MEC! The MEC is an arabic faction, Iran =\= Arab. One reason I wouldn't like to see it in the game is because It would cause even more tension when Iran is fighting the US in project reality. That is the kinda stuff we need less in this world. Or imagine the IDF fighting Iran... Then it would be a constant flamewar in the server and fights would get pretty damn competitive. But that is for the admins to worry about, not the devs.

ive heard alot of things said ingame, mostly by retards. unless a DEV said it dont believe it.

Well I wouldn't call them retards, and they weren't saying that it was going to happen for sure. They were just discussing it as a faction that would make sense.

"going to add" and "would make sense" are completely different.

I have it on good authority from a random player on a server that fastropes will be coming in future..The same tit who yells allah when he ied's someone even though hes a white working class lad from england. Basically this is the internet and people talk a lot of rubbish.

Didn't they say fast ropes couldn't be added because it is "hardcoded" or something like that?

Well i dont think Iran is planned it would usally be in the comminty modding section now if it was. Iran isnt Arab its not in the arab league. It would be cool to add it in as it could be one of the most realistic battles to happen in PR (as a country force)

If you dont hear it here it not going to happen.

Maybe check out the community factions?

I'm know nothing about the BF2 engine, and I could give a $#@$#@ less if they add ropes or not.

Back to the topic of Iran, I have to agree with the guys on the server. Iran makes alot of sense.. But maybe as a community faction? It makes more sense than brazil and poland atleast

Would be cool but there are is a huge amount of factions right now and most of them aren't finished.
