Sorry if this is already brought up, But I was reading through one of the posts (I believe it's the new Mi-8 chopper post) and someone said the chinook doors open already. Whats the buttons to open and close them?

I think they are automatic or are fixed in place

I dont think it does open and close. the Merlin used to have a rear hatch that opened and closed, but it lagged like crazy in flight. The devs removed the door to stop it, so think in the chinook the door is modeled just to be open.

fun fact about the Merlins door, the hatch is still there in the destroyed version.

Rhino said quite specifically that the Chinook does have moving doors, and that they work automatically (like plane landing gear) although I will have to test this out to be sure.

Doors go down when there's no throttle, and pick up as soon as the pilot gooses the stick

So in layman terms if you land and press no buttons, the back opens, but if you press a button, it closes up?

Works the same as landing gear on jets, altitude and speed...

Anyway, another shinook question...

Whe arent the exit points inside of it, so you would have to run outside... or am i missing something here?

Don't chinooks out there when flying missions always have the doors open, usually with a tail gunner.
