[Mumble] Losing link when reaching high altitude

In Mumble, while I'm sure this is known, you lose link when you reach higher altitudes in jets. If this can't be fixed, here is the layout I propose for channels:

In that way, all three (pilot, SL and Alternate) channels are 'linked' and anyone using force center in those three channels broadcasts to all of those other channels. The PILOT channel is ONLY linked locally to itself, so this "solves" the high-altitude issue while still allowing the pilots to communicate with each other and other SLs.
Is this possible?
