Submarine of DOOM!

So, i guess you're reading this and thinking "submarine? There are none of those on BF2"
Well that's where you are wrong.

This is a very cool and potentially nasty glitch. One that got my clan members and I banned from Internode for a period of time.

OK, here is what you do. Get a boat and drive to the carrier, line yourself up with the 2nd last vertical strut at the front of the carrier (pic1). Drive at it full speed and hit slightly to the rear end side of the strut. Keep the throttle on and you should begin to submerge (pic2). You will then go through the side of the carrier and be underneath it (pic3 & 4). Now here is the hard part. Put your minimap at max zoom and try place your boat in the centre of the carrier. Turn it and drive towards the back of the carrier, whilst keeping your boat icon in the centre of the carrier icon. Keep driving untill you get to where the boats spawn. Now here comes the evil part.
Make sure you are a squad leader. Stay in the boat and make sure it doesn't drift from under the carrier. Let your mates spawn on you. They can jump out and swim round, or they can go rape the carrier (pic5).
As long as you are in the boat, the enemy can not kill you, that is, unless they get their own boat and drive under the carrier as well.

The reason we were banned from internode was because we were killing swimmers with the SAW on the boat. Apparrently, that counts as camping in an uncappable flag with a vehicle.......
Our counter argument was "It's a boat for christs sake." and "Well don't jump in the friken water you idiots."

Well, there you have it. Pure evil.

Edit: Ok, my pictures are being stupid and making me angry, just deal without them.

Edit(x2): After a series of furious punches and several violent kicks aimed in the general direction of my tower, the pics are now working.

Yep, happens to me. I found out when someone showed it to me (I think you were there too, but i'm probably wrong). He was on the opposing team, and told us to follow him. He showed us that boats can go under carriers, but I only discovered that you can go inside after playing on the Sirver. Hence, that person who showed it to me practically showed me how to spawn kill his own teammates. I remarked "These are freaking submarines!". That's why I thought you were there.

It used to happen a lot in bf1942, when there were fast boats around. They normally lost health gradually though...

You should know that this particular bug has been around since BF2 was released. It might be a feature though and not a bug ;)

That sounds intricate, which leads me to asking...

How the f*** do you find something like that out?!?!

"Sure, I could go towards land and fight, but then again, in todays open ended games whats stopping me from driving a boat into this here carriers second last verticle strut...that seems like a worthy idea"

I worked this out ages ago, but at least I had the common sense to not tell everyone about it. Nice work, now everyone will be doing it, in a public server. Not good.

If you saw how some of us drove boats then you wouldn't be surprised :)

It takes ages and ages of tweaking the little insanity knobs inside your head. Then when you feel you are ready to explore the dysfuncionality of any game, turn your monitor 90degrees clockwise (very important) after that put yourself to sleep and use astral projection techniques to go inside the game and, as I used to say during my more sane days, Bob is your uncle.

Or, you could use insane amounts of time and go check every reachable corner of every map to see if you can somehow cheat the virtual world somehow.
Sometimes all it takes is sheer luck.

that is what i do when i get my hands on GTA hence no one likes to play that with me.

oh well.

seriously though there are people out there who just like to go and recé the maps on thier own. As i used to do you know just for a little explore and to find the best hiding spots and such.

I think I shed a tear reading that, comedy gold.

Yes, well, my clan members and I have an "unnatural" ability to find these glitches. When we do, we abuse the hell out of them untill we get bored, then we tell other people about them.
We spend alot of time mucking around on empty maps, so, that is probably half the reson we find these things.

:-D

the awnser is, they have nothing to do then just go around and start getting more bored then what they already are.
