Dead when shot

It just got on my mind before i went to bed, why do you die when shot while manning a LMG or HMG and stuff like that...
So i though, can it be made so that when you are shot, you get our of that "vehicle" and lie wounded, but then it got to me, how about if you died when being shot on foot too.
So, many people will say it will not represent large force, many will say that they want revivng etc.
So medics lose the option to revive but healing and stuff stays the same. What is the point of resuscitating then? I dont know if hardcoded but it could be done that rescusitating would save a ticket, or maybe rescusitating and then administering adrenaline like now, but the subject will be still "dead" (and awaiting for imaginary medevac).
But i see good potential in this.
People would be (i hope) more careful when setting up and during attacking/defending.
Snipers could have a role of taking out important targets.
People taking more cover, because most players still stand in the middle of the street and play cod-like.
All in all it would be more realistic, when you're gone, you're gone.
And the nearest friendly FOB is almost everytime just behind the next corner so reinforcements will come rather quickly in most cases.
Some people might say that medic will be unneeded, well he still has the infinite healing bag... The other thing is "why would you want to revive a dead body, he costs us one ticket only", the pubbers who dont give a damn about tickets, wich might be a problem in this case.
I would really like to see some open testing with this to see how it works out, like with the rallypoint change.
