Hello folks,
Ive been playing PR for some time now,
And following the development like most in the community,
I myself am a Games Developer currently going through university degree for the industry,

Trying to build up my skills and experiances as I go,
I love PR becuase even thought it is a modification it is a game in its own right.
and for that I take my hat off to the devs and the rest of the team for doing it.
Its just a shame you don't have the source code open to you to do so much more,
Perhapse even change the engine for some better graphics and fix silly little things such as the char haveing a spasm attack every time he jumps.

But those are dice's mistakes not youres,
Everything you guys have done so far is brilliant.
Keep it up.

Once I have gained some more skills in the field if I can ever be of assistance just give me a shout and ill do what I can,
Im currently studying C++ and object orientated programming and DirectX and OpenGL etc,
But I wouldnt say Im good enough to actually pull anything together right yet.
but im getting there.
So yeh,

what I would like to do/suggest
Is that some servers have the ability to add sounds or perhapse custom skins for people who donate to a server or perhapse admins.

I know my clans server would welcome it.
Not all though,

I suggest you start with looking at the community factions and see if there is anything there you can help with

AFAIK, not possible with BF2. Even if so, I'm very much against it. I'd rather see a normal humvee than a pink one with little ducks all over it

Oh god no nothing like that,
However the guys i play with are a little nuts and would like to hear BOOM HEADSHOT,
But i guess that tottally defeats the point of PR

in order for that to work i would have thought you would need to edit more than just pythons.
and like you say, not possible.

if you want you can help out Iranian faction( it should be easy they are basicly rescining stuff PM Koroush47
he is starting the faction

also is there a way to aquire the code from DICE? I mean I think that because of mods like PR DICE made money since people lose BF2 and then have to rebuy it if they want to play PR

maybe the whole community can spam their mailbox until we get a free code?

But its illegal without the consent of the maker,
and as DICE are still making money from BF2 I doubt they will release it,
I think there is a similar topic on this forum about it,
I very much doubt they will release the code to anyone tbh not even BSS or anyone on the PR team,

Simply becuase if they did then another mod community comes along and so on so forth,

But im not a PR dev, they know more than me reguarding this.

does not hurt to try or has it been tried?
