Hey.. Sorry if i should have searched harder but i really couldn't find a way to solve this problem.

Anyway... I don't have vista, my friend does and he has installed PR 0.9, no problems.
When he tries to start it he gets an error message which he sent me over msn in swedish it says this:
"pr.exe kunde inte startas" directly translated to english "pr.exe could not be started".

If a solution to this already exists im sorry for starting this new thread, please link me to the thread im looking for.
If a solution to this problem is yet to be found, help is needed because i kind of suck at vista problems.

Almost same problem here. "Pr.exe har slutat fungera" - "Pr.exe has stopped working". As soon as I click the shortcut.

Install all the security fixes and recommended updates from Windows Update.

It is updated. Nvidia 260 GTX driver too. I keep updates for Win on auto since Defender is the only protection I have. I've been going commando for 15 months now.

I've never had a problem with these PR installs before. Never changed any directories, just clicked ok and it has worked. Maybe there's a fix coming.

Check if you are missing one or more .Net Framework packages, install them if needed and check for updates again.

make sure to run pr as admin

Run vanilla BF2 first and recover your profile directories.

Make sure BF2 is in the directory that your registry entry says it is.

Thanks for all the replies! I will try all of it as soon as it is not 2:30 AM and I've watched Finland take the bronze. Only one and a half hour to go..

It works! It was probably just a case of weird shortcut editing on my part. I have the screen res in the shortcut. Or it was that and not running as admin. Thanks, all!
