Returning limited kits to crates

While browsing the forums I had an interesting idea come up.
Could there be a way to return a limited kit to the "kit pool." This would be useful in many situations. A SL grabbing an engineer kit to help shovel up assets, Returning the HAT after taking down armor. Also removing limited kits from fallen soldiers on the battlefield so they dont just sit there and wait for an interested enemy to walk by.

+1 but it'd have to be you have to do like a return kit to pool in the request kit rose, and it returns the kit that you're standing on, thats only way I can think it working
Red i think its so that if you change kits say in insurgency, you can remove a kit from a fallen friendly say, so the insurgencts cant grab a hat or just a better rifle in general
Also maybe apply this to insurgency for point value, like maybe 25% of a intel point, to remove an insurgents weapon to play as a confiscation of a weapon from them

I see you mean finding and returning friendly kits back to the pool?

It's a nice addition that you can find useful enemy kits, and that you can find kits you lose... But there are 2 problems:
1.) Lots of kits on the ground for 5 mins at a time just looks absurd.
2.) I've had some problems as Insurgent snipers where I put a gren trap down near where I am, friendly runs into it and I get the TK and get hit by the explosion too. On trying to find my kit again, I accidentally pick up the TK'd players kit (cause there's no icon on them anymore) and die again for picking up a TK'd players kit! =[

+2 i think that you would most likely take care of your buddys weapon, if he gets wounded or worse... but ingame guarding a dead body for 5 mins (since you cant take his stuff), just to make sure sthat the enemy cant take this kit is not exactly convenient.

The idea is very good. How so only this will happen?

I was thinking there would need to be specific places to return the kit, like back into an FOB, or back to a crate.

honestly, i dont see the point. Admit you find a enemy special kit, you would had to carry it back to the closest crate, then drop it, then walk back to you're kit, grab it, and keep on going ?

No no no haha
He wants a way to make the kit disappear fromt he field if its a special kit, so the enemy cna't get a 3rd HAT kit or 4th HAT kit, and the kit can be used in like 5 minutes I guess
Basically Comm Rose command to send it away I guess, thats how Id do it, so you dont have to guard a set of kits say during Insurgency

I was not thinking about enemy kits(although that is a twist to it) I was thinking in the area of... you grab a HAT when there is an APC roaming near an FOB, or crate, or whatever and you blow him up. You dont need to run around with an ironsighted rocket kit for the rest of the time. You also dont want to drop it and have it lay there for an enemy to get or just wait for it to take its sweet time to regenerate back into the pool, so you return it to the crate/FOB/whatever to get it back into the kit pool.
There would obviously be specifics that would need worked out, but I think this would make a vast improvement to gameplay.

I am INLOVE WITH THIS POST

..... If its possible i think its an AMAZING idea ... lolol Or if its not possible to put it back into the crate / pool .. thenn have a small area such as ON the fob that kits disapear Much faster such as the older 30 seconds so that it can be used by other people once it gets deleted from the game

Not bad idea, but I see one major problem. H-AT kit could transfer all over the map too easily. Ppl could wait at crates the tank and the H-AT soldier who is far away from scene could like "teleport" there in no time. Cure for that is change specialist kits to pick up kits. Similiar like the insurgents limited kits at their main.

I think some delay would be needed to prevent that abuse.

This is what I don't like.
If the kit could be returned, it should still take the same amount of time to return to duty. I personally think the idea of leaving crates all over the map that you can request kits from kits from is ridiculous enough already.
I would prefer to limit the limited kit requests to transport vehicles, FOBs, repair stations and caches. Use the ammo crates for ammo and building additional structures around FoBs which should have a 6 players in proximity requirement.

I totally support this idea. Being able to put back the HAT kit after it has been used could really be useful.
Can you do it like this: any kit dropped in a certain distance from the supply crate will immediately go back to the kit pool?

Dumb question but why would you sit next to the grenade trap? Someone on the other side neaks up on you, sets off the trap and you die anyways... doesnt help you much at all.

I would like it better if a player has to do it. This way it cannot get back into the kit pool that easy by mistake. (e.g. if you want to switch kits next to a crate)
It could like this: Player picks up the kit he wants to return (his kit is dropped). Then uses common rose to return it to the pool (mind: there still is the pool waiting time).
After returning the kit he is unarmed but can pick his dropped kit back up.
If made right there won´t be any problems with enemy kits as well. When you do this with enemy kits they go back to their pool. So you either have to keep them or leave them.
I really like the whole idea of this.
