New Computer: Micro Freezes

Hello,
I just bought a new computer:
Gigabyte GA-790XTA-UD4
AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition 125W
Gskill RipJaws 4GB PC3-12800U
XFX 5770 1024MB
GSkill Falcon2 64GB SSD
Win 7 64bits
In PR, everything runs very smooth on high details, but I get regular micro freezes that last a second or less. It's really annoying, since it happens about once or twice a minuted.
I've tried the compatibility modes, but it does not make any difference. Also, it appears to do this only in PR, not other games (I've tested Dragon Age so far)
Any ideas ?
Thanks,
ParadoX

check if your hard drive activity LED is active during that freez, than its due to loading objects/textures from hard disk. this might be due to ram insufficiency and excessive use of the pagefile.
Micro lags are also reported on Dual card setups due to syncronization problems.
I could also imagine that bf2 is switched to use a different core - try setting the affinity to only one.
Also:
- test with lower settings to see if it changes anything.
- display fps and see if the number freezes too, if so you are having performance issues, if not you might have networking issues

The Affinity parameter almost solved the problem, at least it's doing it much less. So it was CPU related. It's weird, though, because a Phenom 965 should be more than enough for PR.
Thanks

Don't forget BF2/PR aren't multi-threaded apps. so they haven't been written to take advantage of other CPU. Your system will try to split-up the 'work load' for the CPUs but it's not very efficient (synchronization problems). Your best bet is to set BF2/PR to use the CPU/core which is the most underutilized ( #4 perhaps?)
Good luck
