Sorry, but this might be the wrong place to post this, but the arma section was closed...

Anyway..I was wondering why I cannot run the demo of Arma II without lagging about? I have tried on ALL steeting, from very high-very low and i can max get 20fps! Now I have

Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit
3.01 GHz cpu Performance Rated at: 6.7725 GHz
geforce 9500gt
4gb ram (plus that Mz rambooster)
also on the tests i get...




any reason why i get 20 fps on reg ArmA II???

Your Graphics card is lacking.

since this thread is already started then there isnt a point of starting another one!
its not just him , i have the following specs :
Mobo : M4A79XTD EVO
Ram : G.Skill RipJaws 4GB SDRAM DDR3 1600Mhz
CPU : AMD Phenom II X4 955 3.2Ghz (Deneb Editiion)
GPU : Sapphire Radeon HD5770 (DX11)
PSU : Crosair 750W

with the specs above i can run the game but it dosnt make a difference from medium to getting it maxed out! the performance is still the same which is **** . i am currently on the 1.04 patch

try lowering viewdistance. also, there are some mods that increase performance on armaholic (search forumz coz i can't be bothered atm).

Your Hard Drive can also affect performance!

Try playing with the advanced settings, for me atleast the post processing effects didn't cause any frop in FPS but still it "felt" like it was lagging. Also try different setting in the video memory, if you have 512mb or more try very high and default and see if it makes any difference.

isnt 1.05 the latest version?

Running does not mean playing,9500GT is not enough either.
1.05 Patch is the latest and also much better (then 1.xx) in terms of performance.

Keeping all your drivers up-to-date is also generally adviced and can improve performance.
