Ok I just need clearifacation on this. How large is the "scanning radius" on the waypoints that the insurgent commander can put down? About 100 meters?

Insurgents and other irregular forces (except for the militia) do not have
access to the UAV. They can gain some intelligence on enemy troop
movement by sending out informants. This is simply done by placing
waypoints at the locations where you want the informants to head to.
About 5 minutes after placing a waypoint the informant will be on
location and report if there are multiple enemies in his area (6 or more).
The reports take about 30 to 60 seconds to reach the commander and
can be used to determine where the opposition is approaching from.
From the manual, nothing on diameter.

Six, I believe.

Ive really never had to rely on radius'

Just place the waypoints on known high traffic areas like roads exiting mains, like on fallujah the northern road leaving main.... the tanks and APCs usually take that way.

Gaza on the south west entrance to the city is also a hotspot.

And the road leaving their main.... infantry usually just walks through the desert, while tanks take the road.
