First off I would like to say I appreciate all the work the mappers have done, however some of the maps I just don't like. Now before you say stop whining and make it yourself well you made it for us and I'm just giving you some honest some feedback.
Silent eagle is brilliant in the vehicle layout except wtf is the deal with USA rushing and destroying all the Russian BTR's at the start of the round every single time i play it. It seems almost unstoppable. I'm just not a fan of the map I'm sorry guys.
Secondly, the seige map is not my cup of tea either. I don't really understand the concept behind it, British will always win if they just guard the water and the bridge to the east. And the British can go pretty much wherever they want in the map except right in the middle across the river, makes no sense to me sorry.
Beirut, doesn't even work. Iron ridge, who's idea was it to put that as an insurgency map, it takes forever and the battle ends up being a stalemate with the Russians to scared to attack or not deploying as a group and drags on the time even longer.
Last but not least, Dragon Fly, am I the only one who enjoys this map? I thinks it's awesome but that's just my opinion and I would like to see it played more often. Please no negative comments I'm only giving you my opinions on the maps which is what the forum is for I thought.
Any opinions on the new maps ?

asad- make mansion the only contestable, or give idf a tactical nuke.
there are lots of little tricks to each map, but there are many counters as well.
i do miss the jungle

DragonFly is very very laggy and buggy, same as Beirut, those maps are unplayable for me due to map lag (freezes).
About the US silo rush on Eagle, its stoppable, yesterday I rushed with a Bradley and got stopped by a HAT in my Bradley's ***.. most pro playaz RTB those BTRs when round starts anyway, doesnt seem like a problem.

This I 100% agree on. It would have been alot better if the river wasn't there or at least not be so wide. I really love the scenarios in this map but it doesn't work. Different factions and transport choppers would probably speed things up
Dragon Fly is really awesome they just need to fix that lag around the northern fields

Beirut is good, its only downfall is how stupidly overpowered the Merkavas are. A tank that can carry infantry? It basically SCREAMS mechanized with a tank.
If the TOW shoeboxes get taken down quickly then it really leaves the Russians without a paddle, the BTR-80's simply have to play cat and mouse if a Merkava sees them as they have nothing to defend themselves with.

iron ridge: Problem with that map for some is every damn building is enterable wich makes finding caches very hard even without an enemy team. I like it that way but most dont.I also like the long rounds the map is renowned for.
Silent eagle:Like it.The rush what you speak of depends on the server if rules are followed its a good map.
Buirut:Could be good but is so buggy it makes me cringe a little.Iv seen choppers land and get stuck on thin air. Also the choppers tend to roll back and explode for no reason not sure if the map or choppers with that one.
Gaza:What can i say about Gaza good map only if IDF knows how to use the tank effectivly wich im yet to see but thats more the players fault than the maps also those APC's should never have been put in if thay are that broken.(im yet to see IDF win if some1 has let me know)
Lashkar vally:Good but some mapper forgot to put a dome of death on the brit main *slaps said mapper*
Siege at Ochamchira:I like to defend attackers could win only with a good team (yet to see)
Dragon fly :O nly played it on normal mode and its a very fun map although I seem to lag if i get into any AT emplacement.
All in all there is a trend of one team having the upper hand from the start in most maps wich means one team can be **** and still win and the other can be good and still lose wich is no bad thing IMO but it is not to everybody's taste.
The only thing i really disslike are the changes to the old maps but thats another thread.

Scared 420 i seems you dislike some of the players and their tactics, not the maps, for me one of the most enjoyable aspects of PR is developing counter measures to devastating tactics.
The first time i win Gaza with the IDF will be that much sweeter !! (i think FTW the whole map needs covering with razor wire by the way)
IMO, i like the new maps, silent eagle is an absolute gem, and I've had really good battles on Iron ridge as well. Beirut is no cake walk for either side and I've seen the British absolutely hammered on Siege, once the trickle of infiltration turns into a flood.

i have seen it.. once.. in this round 2 caches spawned nearly at the same place, a Tank was near and somebody decided to blow em up with a VBIED, and so took the two caches with him. And the last cache spawned in a building occupied by the IDF. They won 36-0...

That an MBT can carry infantry? A bit stupid if you ask me, completely overpowered and imbalanced.
And I remember reading somewhere that the IDF can only carry 7 infantrymen if its ammunition bays are expended, which sounds pretty realistic to me.

And what, the IDF SL's mark them and the tanks steer clear?
I personally haven't seen the Russians win since the map was introduced. Any have-decent Merkava crew can easily lock down the city, or rush <insert Russian first cap here> before the BTR-80's (whos swimming time is ridiculously slow while the BRDM's and LAV's are still fast) can even make landfall.

its like that in real life, so its like it in game. considering the IDF APCs are basically tin cans they need heavy transport.

Gaza is a good map for Hamas and IDF , if you want to see how IDF could win go to Hardcore insurgency server , they win like 1 out of 2 times on that map . BUT if there are some good players on Hamas side you dont have much chance . Defenders rush to main road at the round starts , lay some mines blocking the road then go in city lay some more mines by the wall so you are done with the tanks and APCs and trucks --> IDF will suffer . Attackers rush to the main road with a sq , hold it and get a FOB up by the sea wait till tanks spawn . Tanks will take care of the main road when they get there , now we have cache location . Tanks support troops get down the main road and into the city since it is clear and 1 or 2 sq will enter the city through the wall facing the IDF main --> IDF have better chance to win . The key for IDF to win is to get a FOB up hidden somewhere in the city .

Yeah, i read it too somewhere. So merkava should have less ammo, or you can make two variants -> Tank with 3 crewmans only and full ammuniton, and TroopTransport with less ammunition and place for troops.
edit:
The Merkava tank's innovative design starts with the engine in front to protect the crew. The basic load for the main gun was 85 rounds but rear doors opened to allow access to a series of ammunition racks holding an additional 200 rounds to facilitate rapid resupply.
By removing the ammunition racks, the Merkava carries an infantry squad of ten under full armor protection.
he Merkava Mk.4 has a crew of four, including commander, gunner, loader and driver. Furthermore it can transport eight troops or three stretcher casualties in place of the ammunition load. Troops enter and leave the vehicle threw the rear hatch.
By reducing the ammunition load the Merkava can also carry troops, for example 10 infantry can be carried by reducing the ammunition load by 45 rounds or a commando squad of three together with their radios if the ammunition load is reduced by 25 rounds. It must be emphasised that the ability to carry infantry is only an option for use in special circumstances as the infantry have no vision devices at all.

It's just a lot of CQB, IIRC, I still very much like Gaza, it's pretty brilliantly pieced together (IMHO), and one of the few maps that feature the IDF

Gaza is a fun map if the IDF manage to get a foothold. Now Asad on the other hand... horrific..
